MP 1,1-5,1 Your audio setup in 5,1?

I purchased two Yamaha HS5 and a Focusrite SCARLETT-2I2 3rd Gen audio interface, for Ableton Live and to be upgrade proof. I will connect everything through an USB port.

Can you please share what speakers or audio setup you have on your Mac? If you can post pictures, it would be great also. I will post my setup when I receive the parts.

On my 5,1 it’s pretty low key. Optical out to optical/spdif converter to Boston Acoustics 2.1 active speakers with RCA SPDIF digital input. Quite ok for desktop purposes. In my proper 2ch system, I have a Mac Mini running Audirvana via USB to a Luxman DA-250 DAC and then to substantial Pre/power amps and Magnepan speakers. Very satisfying.

Apollo Quad (1U rack) with a Furman power conditioner plugged into 2x Yamaha HS5 monitors with an Adam 8 sub. Also a 4-710d preamp.

Avid HD/ IOs and UAD Apollos connected to ME Geithain and KS Digital Monitors.

Edit: Sorry the Apollos are connected to 6,1, so that leaves just the avid interfaces
