It looks like in the past, Apple offered $100-$200 of credit when buying a Macbook during black friday.

Does anyone know if this also applied to educational pricing?

Looking to pick up a Macbook Air, 16gb/256gb model for my parents ($1079 right now with edu pricing). Possible they could get edu pricing and a gift card/apple store credit? Or were edu purchases excluded in the past?

Unless the deals are on the Edu store itself (usually some gubbins like free AirPods included) usually excluded outside of the prior to academic year stuff.
That's kind of what I figured. I also checked and it looks like Airs were only $100 of store credit in the past as well so not even that big of a difference.

1. My predictions are that there is alot of music production software that would have some minor discounts.
2. My hopes are that some of Apples software will have more discount that people thought.

For 2021 - Black friday predictions and hopes

1. My predictions is that the general stuff like tv, pc laptops and others will be huge as always, but more people will have waited to buy until november, than previous years.

2. My hopes is that Kindle will go on sale, and maybe Mac Mini M1 ?
