Tanagra (not really)
So anyone have any big photography items on their wish list this year?

I recently bought a new camera, so my list is pretty small: some lens filters, a few spare batteries, and maybe a good tripod.

I wouldn’t mind if Santa brought me a D850. He has hinted about it but I don’t know if one will show up under the tree. I haven't asked for it, but Santa usually delivers.

I don’t actually need it or any other gear. Santa has been generous over the years. :)

I don't actually need anything. My tripod is on it's last legs  but it will do until it breaks. I have a smaller, spare one 'on loan' ;) from work as a backup and it stays in the car anyway, so not a big deal.

I have two cameras in my in basket at Amazon - LX100 II and a RX100 III. I also have a RX100 III booked marked on mpb.com. With Christmas around the corner, do I treat myself?

Give your own kids a hug instead. I wish I could give my daughter one last hug.
My prayers go out to you and your wife, I can only imagine how hard this time of year is. I do hope and pray that you find a measure of peace and comfort in this most difficult time

You do if no one if no one else is going to buy it for you. :D

When funds allow, - which will not be this Christmas, other commitments and needs have first call - I shall treat myself to a Leica M10 and finally make the leap to digital photography.

My current camera is a Leica M6, so learning Leica will not be the challenge; rather, the challenge will lie in mastering the world of digital photography.

We will help you along.

My wife calls me Grinch. She may be right because at this time of year, starting with the Black Friday and Cyber Monday nonsense, I start to feel nauseous in response to the visual and audible bombardment from retailers.

However, I'm not opposed to receiving gifts. Not sure what I need or want at the moment so a B&H gift card is always appreciated...in case anyone is interested. :D

Hmmmm, my Canon 70D still serves me pretty well, so;
-Canon 24-70 f 2.8 L

Really my 3 kids ages 12/14/16 and many indoor events I could use that lens lots.
I do use my 70-200 f2.8 mkII L for so many outdoor events, tack sharp.

iPad Pro 12.9" with 1TB. Plenty of room for downloading images for during a long trip and it will get Photoshop sometime next year when Adobe releases it. We are lucky enough to have all the camera bodies and lenses we want and need.

I’m assuming you’re taking the 2018 model, but I’m quite happy with my 2017 12.9 model. I just have the base 64GB, but so far it hasn’t been an issue with offloading 16MB RAW and editing in Affinity. FYI, I recently discovered Affinity for iOS runs much better than Affinity for MacOS. I do recommend the iOS app if you don’t already have something planned. I sync through Photos/iCloud and then pull the RAW files off onto my iMac. The key is to import to a RAW album on iOS to make finding them easier!

I wish that someone will buy me an iPhone X for Christmas. I was supposed to purchase it as a gift to myself but my Mom's smartphone stops working so I get her the iPhone 8 and now my savings for the newest Apple product was gone.
