when i'm too lazy to move the mouse, i use apple spacebare to open spotlight, type in the first few letters of an app. and press enter... sounds harder but it really isn't.... also apple tab

It's Alt-Tab in windows.
My fav shortcuts in OS X are all of them. I rarely have to take my hands off the keyboard. But here's a few
Command-Tab (+ Command-Q to quit applications from there)
Command-T in Safari
Command-Spacebar to bring up Quicksilver
Last I checked Brits spelt favourite with a U in it.Macmadant said:

I've found command+[ (back a page) and command+] (forward a page) to be so incrediblly useful in firefox

Between these two, I hardly ever need exposé.
spacebar in Camino for "scrolling" down webpages.
In iTunes, a use the tab key to move between the playlists, search bar, and track lists. My lift got a lot easier when I discovered this one.
And ctrl+spacebar for Butler.

And once you are in the control panel. Press Tab once. Then use arrow keys (L/R) to select the appropriate pane. Then Tab and Shift+Tab to move to various dialogues/sliders. Use L/R to move them.dferrara said:

The key difference between the Mac and Windows tabbing applications thingy is that while holding down the apple button, and having an icon highlighted, and pressing the Q key, will quit the highlighted application.
I hope that makes sense. Apple-tab to bring up the applications running, and pressing Q to quit the selected application.
Yes, that is one of my favourites, along with F12 (dashboard) and Command-Space (spotlight).
command t for new tab

Put your Applications into your Dock. Then you can click+hold the icon and navigate your Applications folder hierarchy.
i mapped my mouse so when you press on the scroll button it will show all windows and then i can easily select what window i want. kinda like cmd-tab but faster.
