Your HTPC setup - Describe it here

Hi,

I am doing research on setting up my own HTPC system. I am trying to get an idea of what other people have as their setups. I know there are a lot of variables in terms of what to use, but I thought if I could get some people to post their setups I could get some more ideas.

So basically I would like people to describe:

HTPC(What brand, specs, OS, software, etc.)
Multimedia storage system
Network
Cost

Hopefully if this thread proves popular and sticks around other newbies could use it as a reference for getting started.

So everyone feel free to post your setups.
