FYI im in the beta for SC2 (got in via pre-order)

I have the orange box, killing floor, call of duty 4, quake 4, doom 3, age of empires 2 gold edition, worms 3d, that indie pack where you pick your price, fable, torchlight, star wars galactic battlegrounds, warcraft 3 battle chest, and some other crap. fps and rts. i don't really play any of them except cod, the steam games, and thats it. rts was fun in middle school.

World of Goo any good?

I am looking into buying a new game this afternoon and not sure what to get.

Depends what you are into.
World of Goo is a indie puzzle game. It's fun, but not everyone's cup of tea.

Oh ok :p
Are there any good simulation games that you know of that are worth getting? ...maybe i'll start a thread about it....

I have older ones like Diablo and SC1 but I don't play them anymore. There is my steam of course with 140 games for windows, but only 6 of them work on the Mac at the moment.

So what am I into at the moment (on the mac) include: Civ 4, HL2, and the occasional Quake Live.

On my favourite two Macs... ;)
Quad G5 and Mac Pro '08:

PPC (Quad G5)
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty
Medal of Honor War Chest
Doom 3
X-Plane 8
Nascar Racing 2003
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
F1 CS 2000

Intel (Mac Pro '08)
Half Life 2
Portal
Call of Duty 4
X-Plane 9
Toca Race Driver 3
Tiger Woods 08

Cidered (Intel)
GTA San Andreas
Need for Speed HP 2
Unreal

I don't have mac version game at all. I have like 20 different games which were purchased since October, 2009. yeah, they are all pc version. but I think that mac game is kidding. if you want to play game, don't do with mac. it's piece of ****. trust me. it's true.

Sims 3
Urban Terror
Half-Life 2 (Steam)
Torchlight (Steam)
Portal (Steam)
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3

Orange Box
Madballs
Call of Duty 4

All happen to be purchase from the last couple weeks, which is probably the most I've ever spent on computer games even though I'm a recent switcher from Windows.

Orange Box
Fable
Halo
Myst V
Quake 4
Doom 3
Zork Grand Inquisitor
WoW and both expansions
LucasArts Adventure Pack (The Dig, Indiana Jones x2, Loom)
The "pay what you want" indie pack from the other day
... and I'm sure that I have a few more but can't think what they are right now!

Only games i have for Mac are

1. Half life 2
2. Half life 2 Episode 1
3. Half life 2 Episode 2

Went left 4 dead is available i shall get that too.

Almost every Mac game over 5 years old, either from the Macintosh Garden, or bought from my daily searches on eBay - which I'll then post to the Garden if it's abandonware.

From the last 5 years, CoD4, BF2142, Civ IV + packs, Rise of Nations, CnC3, AoE3 and a few others.

Currently playing, a bit of Caesar III (still maybe the best game ever), Civ 3 Complete and DFBHD. Just waiting, and waiting for Diablo 3. Diablo 2 took up a lot of my gaming time, for many many years.

Keep a few dual G4's a dual G5 next to the Mac Pro for such games. And an SE for the really old B&W stuff.

Here is my collection:
Age of Empires III w/Asian Dynasties
Bioshock
Fable
Civilization IV
Doom 3
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2 Episode 1
Half-Life 2 Episode 2
Halo: Combat Evolved
Killing Floor
LEGO Star Wars II
Portal
Quake 4
Call of Duty 4
Torchlight (CXZ)
Oblivion (Cider)

I have tried other Cider's but many just aren't up to scratch like Fallout 3. And I personally hate CXZ ports but the Torchlight one does actually work well unlike others I've tried.
Most of this has been accumulated recently since I lost interest in my Xbox 360, although I do still play Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2 occasionally.

hmmm every game I have installed... I think...
some are native, some are Wineskin, some are Dosbox wrappers, and some are Cider hacks... but all are .apps do double click and play. Some are very old, but I'm very picky about games I like and graphics are of a very minor minor importance... I don't play any game in Windows.

Age of Empires 2 (native PPC)
Age of Mythology (native PPC)
Baldurs Gate + all expansions (Wineskin)
Baldurs Gate II + all expansions (Wineskin)
Bejeweled (native PPC)
Betrayal At Krondor (Dosbox)
Civilization 4 + expansions (native)
Crusaders of the Dark Savant (Dosbox)
Daggerfall (Dosbox)
Dungeon Hack (Dosbox)
Eye of the Beholder 1, 2, and 3 (Dosbox)
Frozen-Bubble (native)
Game Of Life by Hasbro (native)
Guild Wars (Wineskin)
Hordes of Orcs (native)
Icewind Dale (Cider)
Lands of Lore (Dosbox)
Master of Orion 3 (native PPC)
Might and Magic 1 through 5 (Dosbox)
Might and Magic 6 through 9 (Wineskin)
Monopoly (native PPC)
Neverball (Wineskin)
Neverputt (Wineskin)
Neverwinter Nights + all expansions (Wineskin)
Neverwinter Nights 2 + all expansions (Wineskin)
Oblivion (Cider)
Oregon Trail (Dosbox)
Pangea Arcade (native)
Portal (native)
Risk II (native PPC)
Rocket Bowl (native)
Scrabble (native PPC)
Star Trek: 25th Anniversary Game (Dosbox)
Star Trek Online (Wineskin)
Ultima Underworld 1 and 2 (Dosbox)
The Ur-Quan Masters (Star Control 2) (native)
Wing Command Privateer Parallel Universe (vegastrike mod) (native)

Before someone points out that Neverputt and Neverball have native builds... I always have compile problems, and the versions available are always old... the Windows version runs under Wineskin fantastic, so I just go with that.
