I've just finished refurbing one of my basses today. I bought it a few years ago off a friend, it used to be long a mutual friend who plays in Skindred.
When I got it it was in a bit of a sorry state. Chunks out of the edge of the fretboard, lifting frets, the machine heads had been repositioned due to sheared off screws and the electronics had been ripped out and both pickups had been wired directly to a volume control and then out.
Due to the fretboard damage I defretted it shortly after getting it. Last month I decided to bring it back to a decent working condition. I ordered a 3 band preamp and new gold hardware. I finished putting it all together today.
It's a 95' Warwick Corvette Proline BTW
It still needs to be set up but it sounds bloody lovely. I shall post other instruments later...
