Anybody else noticed this on their iPhones running iOS 17 using the Mail App? I haven’t changed any setting whatsoever and all content within my emails used to always load automatically before today. (Images within the emails etc)

Now I need to manually click “load content” which is odd

I'm seeing it on some emails that used to be fine but not all emails with images/links are showing the message.

My guess is it's a server-based issue and not a device issue and will resolve itself soon.

Yes I had same issue on both my iPhone and ipad yesterday. Today the iPhone seems to be working again but not the iPad. Im still seeing “Your network settings prevent content from loading privately”. Frustrating

You need to do this and it will fix the issue…. maybe something from Apples end and will hopefully be resolved soon and then the toggle can be turned back on. Wi-Fi settings and turning off "Limit IP Address Tracking".

Settings>click the i next to your Wi-fi device is connected to and then scroll down to Limit IP Address Tracking and toggle to ‘off’

I found this worked
Settings > Mail > Privacy Protection > disable Protect Mail Activity and Hide IP Adress.

Weirdly, I was having this problem until a few days ago, and it seems to have fixed itself.

Same problem started here with my Mac Studio, iPad, and iPhone two days ago.

I was able to fix it on the Mac by restarting in Safe Mode and restarting the modem. (Not sure which fixed the issue...)

The Mac is fine today.

The iPad still is busted. This is true whether connecting through the local WiFi - same connection as the Mac - or through wireless. So, that eliminates an actual local network issue, right?

It has to be something at the Apple end. Either with their servers or with some update they pushed down. They updated some Sonoma security elements at around the same time that the network content thing started on the Mac, but that could just be a coincidence.

My phone still has this problem even though iCloud private relay says it is operating normally. I do have a VPN installed (although not active) but until now this hasn’t caused any problem. Hard reset of the phone doesn’t help and I’d prefer not to switch off security features that worked fine until a few days ago. Does anyone know if this issue is likely to be fixed by Apple any time soon?
