So I really want to buy a smartphone soon and like the galaxy s3 but have heard issues with the signal and various other issues like the battery dying really quickly for now reason. I would be buying it for us cellular an would also need a data plan. If you can, would you please post below how much data do you per month and what you do on it and what you think of the GS3 and the signal quality. Thanks!

No longer have one, but I had one before. It was an amazing phone, I loved it. Battery life is incredible, the screen is so big and vibrant. Even though it doesn't go as bright as LCD-based screens like the iPhone, the screen more than makes up for it with the vibrancy of the colours.
S-Voice is pretty crap. Google Now with Google Voice Search is awesome, so try to get one with Jelly Bean if possible.
Had no problem with the signal quality and the phone's speaker is very loud and clear.
All around an amazing phone. Best Android phone of its' time and probably still the best.
The only reason I gave mine away is because it wasn't an iPhone. It didn't have access to the iTunes store, or iCloud, and didn't sync with my iPad. I also wanted something that I could use to talk to the mrs on her iPad with. There wasn't really anything wrong with the S3 per se

Best Buy has/had it no contract on metro pcs for $499. Plans start as low as $40 a month.
I did not even activate a plan yet. This smartphone is awesome to even bother with that yet. I'll do it eventually but just use my dumb phone for now for phone and text. There are enough wifi hotspots in my area to stay Internet connected to have fun amongst other things to do.

I currently use the GS3 on ATT. Signal is good on LTE and 3G. Reception is very clear and I haven't had issues or any dropped calls yet. Stock ICS touchwiz is fast and very reliable. Almost all apps I tried are compatible. Battery life is as good as the iP4 and slighly better than the 4S, I don't have the 5 too compare. 64GB Sd card works flawless and is dirt cheap on Amazon. The GS3 is as smooth and fast as any iPhone. The phone has really repaired Android's reputation. I can go on and on
IMO, the only things the iPhone has over the GS3 is the Camera(although GS3 takes better videos), you have to adjust the camera settings just right in differ situations for taking pics. The iPhone is the best worry free point n shoot. Also iPhone has more exclusive games. And of course Apple's CS is top notch.

Ok. The signal thing was really worrying me and so was the batter life since I got to school and don't have access to a charger until 7-8 PM but don't use my phone very intersively. If I couldn't get the GS3 because of battery or signal then I was going to have to get the electrify m which is similar to the droid razr m and that screen is not as good as the GS3 and has a horrible camera. Not only that but I really want a big screen since my iPod touch 4g is small

I dont have the LTE version but reception is as good as any phone I have previously owned (mostly iPhones) I also echo at how smooth and fast it is. Superb phone.
Currently using it. It is a pretty nice phone. No signal issues or battery problems here. Fast and fluid for my use. The screen has all of my gripes really... the brightness is rather low when using auto adjust. I have mine cranked up to full all the time. Also Pentile arrangement makes red font look really bad if it is small enough. Pentile arrangement is just trash really. As for Touchwiz, I cannot stand it and believe it looks horrid. I have tried to replace as much of it with Holo applications (Holo Launcher, Holo SMS, Holo Dialer). It does bring some neato features though. For instance if im texting someone and just hold the phone up to my ear it will call them.

I have not had any issues with signal strength with my GS3 compared to other smartphones I have used in the areas where I use it.
As for the battery, my estimates based on my experience is that it can last around 5 hours if you do constant internet browsing. Depending on what you use your phone for, your milage will vary. I happen to use Maps often when driving while playing music, so I tend to drain my battery rather quickly.
Why? Isnt like it loses much volume and still louder than the iphones speaker. I havent heard the iP5's speaker but all the others imo still arent very loud.
I love my GS3. The only thing i dont like is i think copy and paste is a pain in the ass with it. Other than that, great phone.
