I always use Gold color in my iPhones ( iPhone XS Max and 12 Pro Max), because of 2 reasons.

1. It looks good
2. Gold color will always look premium.

Now I am thinking of a change, I want try this Lime/green color for the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max. Bright colors tempt me, so what is your opinion? Should I stick with classic gold color or, this lime green will be a better option in terms of premium look and feel? In my previous post I hoped for apple to bring rose color bad. But this Lime color looks like a good replacement to the rose gold.

I had not heard of the lime green rumor. My husband has a lime green Samsung s23 Ultra. We both quite like the color, but it’s not for every environment, so he keeps it in a black case most of the time. Even I wouldn’t want to have it on display all the time, because it clashes with a lot of my other stuff like clothes and accessories. But it is a treat to behold.

I’m currently using a white/sliver 12 Pro Max and I’m really loving how it looks on my semi transparent Tech 21 Art Pop cases. It does go with everything.

While I absolutely loved the purple color of my 14 Pro Max (that I can unfortunately no longer use due to its display giving me migraines) I realize I have more fun with the silver and white phone’s ability to look compatible in a wider variety of cases.

I don’t know if I’d get an 15 Pro. It would depend on if my migraine sensitivity allows me to. With the newer phones being titanium, I don’t have a sense of which finishes would hold up the best. I’d have to see the final offerings. I’m hoping there will be a pure white with silver trim again.

Can I ask you, what causes, you the migraine? Is it the brightness or 120 HZ refresh rate?

I’m honestly not sure anymore. At one time I thought it was pulse width modulation but I’m also having trouble with iPhone LCD displays that do not use pulse width modulation. And the pwm on many of my Android phones don’t bother me. However, I believe LCD Apple displays do use temporal dithering to make the display capable of displaying more colors than it would otherwise be capable of with native hardware specs alone .

It’s perhaps both factors and the rate at which they’re programmed to flicker that cause my issues. Some Android phone displays bother me but I can use some of them safely. With iPhone, it’s rare that I encounter a display that doesn’t cause me some form of my diagnosed atypical migraine symptoms to materialize.

I'll take a good look at the blue once the official photos come out but otherwise I think I'll go silver/white. I've been on a big white kick and I like the look. White apple watch band, white ipad cover, and white iphone would be a good look.

My favorite color is blue but I've always had silver iPhones, iPads and Macs.. I would consider blue or black but they would have to really catch my eye because I plan on keeping it for 5 years and silver just works fine for me

That's a point of concern. Since XS Max, apple moved from LCD to OLED in its pro max line up. I thought OLD uses less power so it might be less strenuous for the eyes, thus reducing the possibility of headache or migraine.:oops::oops:

Deep see blue color in iPhone 12 Pro Max models was a good color. Though I went for gold. But this deep see blue looks looks like a beautiful piece of marble.

I do find OLED displays to produce less eye strain than LCD IF the pwm rate is high enough. The higher it is, the less impact it has on eyes and nervous systems. But if it’s too low what happens is pupils try to open and constrict at a crazy rate that’s not what nature intended for them to do and it is fatiguing. For people like me with a predisposition to migraines it causes neurological symptoms.

Getting back to the subject of the iPhone colors, I’m so curious to see how the change to Titanium affects color selections. I don’t think Titanium is naturally silver like aluminum so I wonder what the neutral analogue to the silver edged aluminum iPhones will be.

Talking about Titanium, I hope they don't make its look and feel boring like Apple Watch Ultra. If I am given a chance to select Series 8 Stainless Steel Golden color and Ultra. I will always go for the first option, because of its premium look and feel

Please for the love of Steve, can we get a Metalic Product Red on the pros. I've always wanted a Red Iphone that wasnt a lower end model and short of buying some horrid skin, i never got one. You would think apple, a company named after a fruit thats known to be red and green, would have product red versions of ALL their high end products. I get the silver and gold and all that, thats fine...i usually go with gold or black, but id really love a red iphone pro ultra or what ever they are going to call it this year!

Will probably go with blue or try silver this year. Where did you see that the pro model might come in a lime green colour? The rumoured special colour is a dark blue/grey colour.

Maybe I was mistaken. But the picture that I posted in my original thread, when I was reading that article, that picture was taking bit of a time to load on the webpage and while loading the picture it was showing text in the "meta tag" stating green color for the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max line up.
