You're joking, right? Because if not...

I'd like them to keep current design (i.e. no new iMac-style ugliness), but that's rather unrealistic... I also think user replaceable parts would have been great, but I don't think it's coming.

Well, I'm buying the current gen, so I hope it gets worse :)

But, I'd personally want better battery life, 4 GB Ram, and 256GB HD.

The Air is just begging for built in 3g. Begging. Now that Apple has deals with 3g providers in 70 countries, why havnt we seen this yet?

Everything else is secondary to that. Design wise an ultra thin bezel and matching smaller casing around the keyboard would do a lot to differentiate the Air from the increasingly similar MB.

Speed bump.

A bit cheaper if possible.

You have some high expectations for 2009!

I also have 1st Generation Iphone 8Gb,
And also want to be a future MBA owner.

We have similar taste.

Macbook air for over a grand. It makes you think a laptop for over a grand?

Wish i would get it for a present.

Best present ever, apart from a house or car.

Haha... that's pretty cool that we have similar tastes!

get rid of the notch on the edge. make it look flush like the new MB. increase the screen hinge angle so we can open the screen further. smooth off some of the edges all around...too sharp.

I think with the new MacBooks coming in at 4.5lbs they should move the air to something around a 12" screen and cut the weight down as much as possible (2.5-2.75lbs maybe?). It's thin enough, but I'd like to see Apple make this a real ultra-portable. It doesn't need a speed boost really, but any new chips that could improve heat and battery management would be important (and sweet).

Couple this with an updated aluminum entry-level MacBook (1.86GHz, 2GB ram, 120GB HDD, Superdrive, $999?) and that would be a slick line-up for Apple.
