Post your Top 10 Favorite Apps, do not post comments or questions in this topic, only your favorite apps and a description / rating of the apps.

1. Super Monkey Ball - 9.5/10 - Great Game. Not good while moving. Accelerometer can sometimes be a little glitchy.

2. Scrabble - 9.3/10 - Awesome game even if you don't like the board game. I don't really like the actual game, but this version gets a 2 thumbs up! A game for everybody, good to play whenever / wherever. Sounds / Music can be glitchy.

3. Remote - 9/10 - The perfect free app. Good for everyone. I really needed one since I lost my mac remote somewhere.

4. Sketches - 9/10 - Great updated version of the original Sketches. A very fun paint app. Cost is a little high, but worth it if your a fan.

5. Tap Tap Revenge - 8.6/10 - Updated version is better than original in terms of the layout and ease of use, but worse in the fact you can only play to 4 songs at the moment.

6. 4 in a Row - 8.3/10 - Only app (I know of) that has Lan (iPod to iPod) multiplayer support. Not as good without that, but still worth the $5.

7. AIM - 8.2/10 - Great layout and ease of use, still has some bugs though, but what can you expect for a free app.

8. Aurora Feint - 8.2/10 - Another awesome alt. puzzle game. Can get a little boring though and still has some bugs. Great for a free game though.

9. Pandora - 8.2/10 - I don't use this app too much, because of that it's score got a little lower. Near perfect app and it's free.

10. AOL Radio - 8.1/10 - Online Radio app with a bunch of great stations, some bugs, but it's a free app.

My top 10 are almost all games. Here goes:

1. Scrabble-great, easy-to-use interface, I'm happy it supports multiplayer for more than just 2 players. Not a big fan of the best word feature, but I guess it can be useful especially if you're just learning.
2. Trism-Really fun, unique game with very detailed tutorial, unlike some games which just leave you to figure it all out yourself. Fairly priced unlike a lot of games from big-name developers (which I still buy hehe)
3. Box Office-helpful when looking for movie times and theaters nearby quickly or when away from the computer, I also like that it has rotten tomatoes ratings.
4. Aurora Feint-Best free game by far, fun puzzle game with RPG qualities, looks like a ton of work went into it so impressive that there's no charge.
5. HoldEm-Fun app for poker, with lots of unlockables, good graphics, intuitive controls. I like the way the view switches when you rotate the ipod/iphone. Only complaint is how much space it takes up, but I guess that's the price of all the features.
6. Monkey Ball-Fun, but gets pretty difficult. Other people have mentioned possibly including a way to adjust sensitivity, I think this would help. Also, the angle for holding it is a bit awkward.
7. Crash Bandicoot-Nice racing game, but I haven't really tried any others. I like that you can use items and drift when you turn.
8. BeeCells-A pretty simple puzzle game, but it's just like a game I used to have on an old cell phone called Linez that I really liked and miss, so for just 1.99 it can be very entertaining.
9. Enigmo-Fun and different, and definitely challenging! Gets very difficult as levels progress. Not very good instructions, moving pieces can be a bit difficult, and maybe a hint feature would help make certain levels doable, but otherwise quite fun.
10. AIM-Could use a bit of work, like enabling landscape mode, typing is so tough in portrait! Nice interface for a free app though. It'll definitely improve when push comes in September, too.

I enjoy most of the apps that people have mentioned but am still not a fan of either radio apps as I am getting slow and incredibly choppy service consistently

I am addicted to trying new apps. There are some really useful ones and some truly creative ones. These are some of my favorites so far:

Enigmo- brilliant game and highly addictive
Pandora- free and really really good in both concept and execution
SplashID- nothing terribly new but essential app
Shazam- this is blow your friends's mind stuff. cool
Remote- I was shocked at how well this worked. I wish it controlled rentals and other Apple TV navigation as well.
Bloomberg- very sophisticated and rich financial markets and stocks tracker
Box Office- nice to have rotten tomatoes score at a glance. seems the best of the movies apps so far
Scrabble- I love scrabble
A Personal Assistant- time saver. I hope it is really secure
Texas Hold'em- love the portrait vs landscape views. havent played much yet

honorable mention: phonesaber...my son loves this!!!

What's the big deal about the Remote?
"Oh, Cool! I can turn my music on from anywhere in the house!"

I thought that too. What is cool is that you don't so much navigate with the phone as opposed to the remote, you actually get to look through your collection of stuff and just select the song/show you want and get instantaneous response. Also it is supremely responsive. It is hard to explain... it is just very pleasant, much like some of the intangible elements of AppleTV to begin with.

"Oh, Cool! I can turn my music on from anywhere in the house!"

Well, if you have your whole house wired for sound, and a central source (computer, ATV), it is very nice to be able to pick music, change songs, etc from anywhere.

This is tech that people used to spend 10K plus on, now can be done much, much cheaper, and with much cooler implementation.

This app alone is pushing me towards buying an ATV.

It would have been great had this been available during last years holidays. I had some friends over and my Macbook hooked up in the living room, playing music through my Creatures. Anytime someone wanted to view the playlist, they would have to come over to the corner of the room and view my Macbook. My living room is tight as it is, so it was an inconvenience for those that were interested. Had this remote been out, I could have easily passed my iPhone around the room instead.

Hope that gives you an idea of why this application is great.

exactly. i would have LOVED to have this app when my old roommates and i used to throw big parties. back then, i had my computer in the basement and it was wired into the stereo in the living room on the main floor. while i did always have playlists made up, people would request things and i'd have to go downstairs to find the song and play it. if i would have had this, i could have stayed with the party and not risked spilling a "beverage" on my computer. ;)

There is some really good software out there.

Enigmo
Urbanspoon
Aqua Forest
MotionX Poker
Pandora

Things is pretty promising but it needs some work. I use the desktop version which has been a slamdunk for me. The iphone version was rushed out the door and has limited features but I have faith that the developers will beef it up to match the quality of the desktop version. Even in its early state it works pretty well as a mobile task/project solution.

1. Super Monkey Ball (9)
2. Tap Tap revenge (9)
3. iMahjong (8.5)
4. Attaining Zen (8)
5. Boom! (8)
6. One Tap Movies (8)
7. Flashlight, the free one (8)
8. Weather Bug (7.5)
9. Aurora Feint (7.5)
10. iPint (7)

IGN Reviews (I'm a gamer.)
Sports Tap
Tap Tap
T4Two, Jirbo Break, Jirbo Says, Spinner (all nice for free)

No Social Networking stuff works up here in Green Bay, WI, as I don't think there is a sole around here that has the iPhone, or at least not many that I know.

AOL Radio
Labyrinth
Tap Tap

favorites <3

1. Remote (OMG it's amazing)
2. Aurora Feint (it's free and I seriously played it for an hour last night without even noticing)
3. Myspace (I use myspace more for email then actually email this really helps me out, I also really like being able to check bulletins from it)
4. Facebook (although facebook bores me I like its feature to do a status update and to be able to take and upload a picture straight from the app, the chat seems nice too)
5. AIM (I am on aim constantly and it's nice to be able to jump on send some messages to whoever and get off without having to load meebo in safari)
6. Box Office (perfect for seeing what's playing where and at what time, also as everyone else has mentioned it has the rotten tomatoes reviews built in)
7. Mobile News (to be honest I prefer just loading google news - sci/tech in safari but this app has potential it's nice to pull up when I'm bored and want to check up on the world)
8. Shazam (if you haven't heard this one allows you to record a small piece of a song that you hear playing then it reports back to you on which song it is. From what I've seen it works so well and hasn't messed up a single time for me)
9. Midomi (it's sort of the same as shazam but it allows you to sing/hum a song say the song name or artist or even just type it in yourself if you know it and then find information on it. Once it's found the song you can listen to other people singing it. The reason this is after shazam is that I've noticed it kind of sucks at listening to the actual song and finding it... compared to shazam anyways)
10. –––– (okay seriously to be honest I don't want to place something in my ten spot yet. I haven't seen anything worthy of being my ten. Everything else I have should be at least a 15)

There you have it. That's my review and my top 9ish apps. :d

Here are mine in no particular order.

1. Cro-Mag Rally- wheres the love for this game? Its my favorite game on my iPhone (9.8)

5. JirboBreak- Hours of fun for free! (9.0)

7. Myspace- Great for going to a relatives or friends house and not having to take my macbook (9.5)
8. Facebook- Same reason as Myspace (9.5)
9. AIM- Keep updated with all of my friends right from my iPhone :D (9.1)

(9) Aol Radio 9/10...love the 80's station
(10) Pocket Express 8/10.... got everything news, whether, movies, Sports:D

For pure fun for a few minutes - PhoneSaber, the Star Wars light saber for your iPhone. Guaranteed chuckle - I'll keep it for my iPhone sales pitches to others.

Only 8 on here. I DLed like 40 apps... but the ones below are worth mention.

Super Monkey - 9/10 Very cool, but I find it impossibly hard. I have a badly dented iPhone though. I could be a bad player or a have a screwy iPhone.

MLB AT BAT - 8/10 Cool of course... But wish they had MLB.TV so I could watch the game live. I REALLY wish they had mobile gameday with PITCHf/x information. So COOL!!!

One Tap - 8/10 $2 movie application. Just a bit better than Box office. I found Movies.app to be crap.

AOL Radio - 9/10 - I love this app. Simple, pretty responsive and simple. Great to get radio from all over the country. Radio doesn't pick up some channels in my own area... this give me those AM stations back!

Mobile News Network 7/10 - This app is really awesome. Brings you content from ALL over. Only thing that would be better is more customizable interface. Including - Which news to put where in your shortcuts, which news sources to trust, etc.

Yelp - 9/10 - So cool to use yelp on the iPhone when I'm out and about and looking for something simple like yogurt shops phone numbers so I can call and see what time their open until. Sweet.

Jirbo Break - 9/10 - Fun game to play when you have a minute. Plus free and simple.

AIM - 7/10 - It's OK. But it could be less laggy and it could show the other chatter is typing. Waiting on Adium.

NOTE: I love Pandora - but have not played with it enough on the iPhone to rate it.

Twitteriffic
TapTap (OMG so addicting!)
AIM
Myspace
At Bat
Weatherbug
AOL radio
Monkey Ball
Cube Runner
iPint

In order of how much I play them:

1. Dizzy Bee
2. De Blob
3. Enigmo
4. Texas Hold'em
5. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart
6. Cro-Mag Rally
7. Super Monkey Ball
8. Trism
9. Cube Runner
10. Aurora Feint The Beginning

(yes, I'm a bit of a gamer I guess. I used to work in the industry many years ago and actually worked on the first and second Crash Bandicoot games for the original Playstation.)

Instapaper is really cool- save web pages for later reading in the dedicated app, which saves both full and text-only versions for offline access. I used to use iSilo with my Palm for this same purpose, but this is easier as you can save Instapaper bookmarks right on the device.

Stanza seems like a very nice (and free) eBook reader. There's a desktop app that allows you to load books onto your iPhone/iPod Touch, plus you can download Project Gutenberg books right on the device. Seems just as good as the paid alternatives...

EDIT- This doesn't come out until July 28, but seems like a much better File Magnet-

http://www.veiosoft.com/

DataCase allows you to mount your iPhone/Touch as a drive on your desktop, or FTP access as well. Browse, view, and delete files on the handheld. Seven bucks, I'm glad I discovered this before paying for File Magnet...
