This is why I miss Steve Jobs. Steve would do a much better job explaining to everyone why Apple Music would be the next big thing. Since his death, everything has sounded so scripted. Apple Music's announcement was confusing and highlighted the wrong features.

In the end I think Apple Music will be a runaway success, but Apple is not helping their cause allowing imbeciles to announce their "One More Thing". Don't get me started on Drake....

But that's where you're wrong. He was a magical wizard king.

Seriously though, I watched the original iPad announcement, coincidentally, right before the WWDC keynote (talk about a coincidence!).

People didn't know why they would want a big iPod, but they knew what an iPad was after the keynote. Jobs outlined what the iPad was, how it's better than its predecessors, and why it was better at specific tasks compared to an iPhone or Laptop. A lot of people didn't understand the need for this at the time, but quickly realized its impact upon arrival.

I know my OP seems like I think that "Steve is gone, Apple doomz". Not in any way is that true. But Apple clearly misses Steve when it comes to presentations. He isn't close to being perfect, but he WAS the wizard king of keynotes.

I agree he was charasmatic, but he lacks the authenticity of Iovine, Reznor, Lowe and Drake - all of whom have built careers and earned their stripes as musicians, producers and DJs.

The "by music lovers, for music lovers" angle is what they're hoping will undermine Spotify and YouTube's dominance. We'll see...

He pauses, tries to think of something relevant...can't....declares "exercising" a special moment and tries to turn the attention from the dumb thing he just said to Dre by telling the audience that Dre exercises a lot.

Agreed. One wonders if the word Awesome was removed from Tim Cook's vocabulary would he be able to construct a sentence at all? He sounds at times he's been rehearsing with an amateur dramatics company, too gushing, to the point of being patronising.

The thing with exercise is you have to push yourself beyond your limit to progress. Your worst enemy is that voice that pops into your head "Stop, you're tired, it hurts" right when you've reached your limit. Some people use upbeat/energetic music to help them push forward. the wrong song can ruin the moment.

For example when I go running and I'm tired and want to stop all it takes is a song like "Panama" by Van Halen for me to get inspired to keep going.

To be honest, that moment was the most funny part of the keynote for me. His expression was priceless. The absolute cluelessness he was experiencing, I had to wonder what he was thinking.

If I had to, I would say it was something like: "Oh, is there something wrong with my slides? Nope. Why is that jackass laughing? Oh well, carry on."

And that what resulted in the "Oh" and fake laughing.
