Youtube 100% CPU on iOS 16

Hello,

I am using iOS 16 beta on iPhone 8 Plus and I spotted some strange behaviour.

When watching videos on Youtube, CPU stays always at 100% usage and battery drains very fast.



Do anyone using iOS 16 has the same issue as me?

don't know about iphone but my ipad mini 6 has no issues with youtube

btw which app do you use to see cpu usage?

Have you tested if reinstall it is fixing it?

Yes, I did, same result.
May be I should try factory reset of the phone.

Try using the web version of YouTube and see if it yields better results. A couple months ago I deleted the Google apps (Maps and Art & Culture) from my phone but haven’t had the YouTube app installed since probably 2015 as I much prefer the webpage.

Hmm, great idea! I tried Safari and Youtube plays fine. However, it feels to me a bit uncomfortable but still it solves my problem. Thanks a lot mate. ;-)
