Hello everybody, I have an iMac and there seems to be a problem with YouTube. Often, the videos won't load, and this warning comes up that says the following: "An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: FSnpr-ssFvBN4h7z) Learn more"
It's been like this for a while, and I don't understand why. Does anyone here know what to do, or has had the same thing happen to them? Thank you. Please help.

Does it work when you are logged out of google or in an incognito window? Seems like it was related to Google accounts in reports I saw

When I get that error, I just reload the page.
That almost always fixes it for me.
I do the same thing, but I am looking for a way to totally get rid of it. I wonder why other people as well have this same problem of mine.

My apologies, I should have been clearer...does the "Show More" link open to a new page or popup? If so, providing that page URL here for others to read or posting a screenshot of the popup here might shed some light for this conversation.
Hi thanks for the reply - I am replying late. It goes to a pop up with different options and I am unsure. I think I'll get someone who knows what to do, to help me, as I am not savvy in this way at all.

Hey! Did you guys get it fixed, by any chance? Actually, I have been facing this only on Safari!

Again, if you get that error, just RELOAD THE PAGE (command-R).

If the error persists, try another browser.

If the error STILL persists, it could be a problem "at youtube's end of things" that you can't fix (at least at the moment...)

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I'd tend to employ only Safari 😍 as my daily browser. Sadly, command+R did not help at all. 😩

I have become to the realization that the aforesaid error stems from the ads on YouTube, meaning that I have a hunch that ditching the ads, most likely, fixes such a glitch. Has anyone with the YouTube Premium been facing such an error of late?

A this point I can no longer user Safari to watch Youtube. I works maybe 10% of the time. I wish I could figure out why. I prefer to user Safari.

I wanted to post this in case someone is still having issues. I found this on reddit and it worked for me.

Go to the Develop tab -> Experimental features -> enable VP9 SW decoder on battery. This seems to fix the issue for me. 1440p and 4K also gets enabled on YouTube when I do this. Figured this out a couple betas back
