Hi All,

I connect my IPad Pro to an external monitor when watching Netflix / Apple TV+ but today I accidentally noticed that YouTube App ( not via Safari ) now plays full screen on the external display. Which is brilliant.

Anyone else noticed that YouTube app now goes full screen on an external?

Probably when they removed higher resolution on the iPad.

You can't. You can on the iPhone but the capability came and went on iOS 14 betas.

More likely it was YouTube/Google - an app issue.

FYI - YouTube fullscreen on an external monitor no longer works. Seems that YouTube have pulled the plug on it, I didn’t change anything but it no longer works. Really dissappointed with Google/YouTube.

Why can’t YouTube play nicely with Apple?
