I've searched a little, and can't seem to find anything on this issue. Am I the only one not able to save videos as favorites in youtube on Apple TV? Even after 3.0 update. Frustrating!

I'm pretty certain you can do this if you have a YouTube account. At least the v2.x firmware allowed this. I haven't tried with v3.0 since I did a complete restore on my Apple TV prior to the update.

I just checked with the v3.01 firmware and you can save YouTube favorites if you have logged into your YouTube account. After loading/viewing the video select the options menu on the YouTube screen and click on save as favorite.

No, I'm with clcnyc. The "Save As Favorite" has NEVER worked for me, even with the 3.0 update (and, yes, I'm signed in under my account).

I was hoping the software update would fix that problem (and the bug where your Podcast "favorite" images sometimes disappear, never to be fixed until you remove and re-add the favorite). Alas!

It works on my Apple TV. I wonder, however, whether you might need to start by marking an initial favorite using YouTube's website. That's how I started my original set of favorites and they still show up on the Apple TV and since that time I've also added favorites using my Apple TV.

I do have several favorites saved through YouTube. Oddly, most of the music video-related ones don't show up on Apple TV. I figured Apple was blocking that content or something since they sold either the videos or the music files for those songs. I wonder if those two issues are related?

I've had that problem off and on for a while, but seemed to be fixed with the update just prior to 3.0. The fix seemed to be to simply log out, then log back in. It's been solid since.

gr8fly, I tried logging out and back in and it's working now! First time ever. No joke.

Cheers!
