Just had the pleasure of watching a video that I filled my X's screen up fully. :D

Not sure if that channel's filming all their content in 19.5:9 though.

Is anyone subscribed to any YouTube channels that release all their content to suit these brilliant screens??

I tried looking up something with HDR, but since our iPhones have 1125p or 1242p displays, it's tough to find something that maxes out the display. It seems like everything will range from 240p to 4k, but with major common resolutions like 480p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p, or 4k.

I wonder what YouTube channels release all their content in 16:9 5K to suite my iMac, or 4:3 to suite my iPad, or 16:10 to suite my MacBook Pro. Even better, four separate versions of every video (4:3, 16:10, 16:9, 19.5:9), so I can pick one depending on the device I am on. ;)

Like it or not, 16:9 is the standard aspect ratio for video. Finding a video in 19.5:9 means the uploader has likely cropped the original 16:9 master so space is lost from the top and bottom of every frame, with the specific intention of showing it on the iPhone X.

Ok, I get you. What they've also done is edited their video in a way that treats the 19.5:9 ratio as the viewable area, so we don't miss anything they intended to show us anyway. So what's out of frame, is meant to be out of frame.

Thoughtful. ;)
