Hello all,

I have a uk registered iPad and I'm a little confused. When I try to view a you tube video either through the app or embedded in a webpage, I get a pop up that says that the format is not supported? This happens on every video so far. I thought you tube was supported or am I doing something wrong?

Have you tried a video that has been on a youtube for more thana few days?! try watching some of the top viewed videos in the app and see if they play?!

Hi yes, every video on you tube so far gives me the pop up about being of an incorrect format and not supported. It is odd because I don't remember this with the iPhone I had briefly (that's another story). I don't have the best wifi connection unfortunately and it is rare that I can even get you tube videos on a normal computer, they just take too long to download, but I just tried the app on my new iPad and every one is duff apparently, or the iPad is.....

Haven't heard of such a problem ever. Have you tried resetting the device? If that doesn't work a full restore may help solve for a bad YouTube install. If that fails as well, then consider contacting Apple.

Lastly, are webpages loading? If not, then due to lack of internet connection (I doubt this) it may be the problem. Give it a shot. It just may help :)
