I almost always use Firefox as I have done for many years. In the very recent past, something has changed! If I show the usual YouTube page with tiles for videos, the audio of the video cuts in the moment my mouse pointer passes over a video. Maybe a delay of a second?
It didn't used to do this!
I do have autoplay media with sound blocked.
It's not a big problem - I just have to be careful where my mouse pointer goes, and where it ends up when I switch to keyboard. Indeed, when actively looking through videos, it is quite effective. It's more of an observation than a whine!
However, I do wonder if YouTube is downloading more data in order for this to work?
Safari doesn't do this.
As usual for me, on fully up to date Firefox (with uBlock Origin) and Sonoma.
