I have a strong and consistent ~250Mb WiFi connection from my Router to my iPhone 11 Pro Max (Ethernet is 400Mb on PC) - after testing with Speedtest.

Is there anyway to stop the YouTube App from dropping below max quality?

it keeps going from 1080p to 360/480 and there’s absolutely no reason for it to.

Speaking of YouTube. For some reason none of my iOS 12 devices can no longer play embedded YouTube videos within websites like MR and others websites like APOD.
I thought maybe it was an adblocker but it's not that.
To play videos now I have to click the title and open a new window to YouTube itself to watch them.
Did YouTube drop iOS 12 support?

Whatever it was it seems to be playing okay now that are embedded into websites. Must be tweaking their code.

Most likely the throttling, although sometimes, but not very often, it will do this on my 6s. Could never work out why as I'm nearly always on wi-fi!
