iPad YouTube issue

I have an iPad Air 4 running 15.2.1 and my videos only play in the upper left corner on the YouTube app while rest of where the video should show is black

Went to same video same OS version and it played full screen for me once I tapped the expanded screen option. The view you are seeing is the default view when I first searched on the video but I had other video thumbnails where you have the black void.

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled YouTube?
