When I try to watch videos on YouTube in Safari, they play normally and then after scanning a few times, the video freezes and the audio plays. I have to constantly reload to get it to continue playing, and then the cycle continues. I have fast internet, bandwidth isn't a problem. I don't know what to do and it can be counterproductive to open videos in Chrome. Does anyone else have this annoying problem? What do I do to fix it?

I have been dealing with the same and there is nothing that can be done about it as it seems to be some kind of bug (perhaps with html5?) in safari. Using chrome is the only alternative that I found.

I have the same problem plus FaceTime. I was using it to chat with some family and it would keep freezing. If I would move the mouse it would unfreeze for about 5min then freeze again.

Video freezes but audio does not. I have to tap the trackpad for the the video to jump and catches on where the audio is.

So many issues with Apple stuff lately, really testing my patience.

I switched to Opera. Since the OS was updated recently I tried Safari again (on accident) and it still does it. Oh well.
