Universal YouTube links opening in Safari

As of a few days ago on my iPhone and iPad, YouTube links have started opening in Safari instead of YouTube. Tapping and holding on YouTube links doesn’t give an option to open in YouTube like it used to. Links to other apps open those apps as usual. It’s just YouTube that’s not working.

Is anyone else seeing this problem?

I’m not sure. iPadOS 14.7.1 came out on Wednesday, but I’m pretty sure it was working up until Friday or Saturday. Also YouTube is the only app with this issue, so I don’t think it’s iOS. I tried reporting feedback to Google in the YouTube app, but I have no idea if they read that.

I also reported it on their forums, but no one has responded.
