Is there a way to transfer the downloaded songs to a new phone? I have a bunch of stuff downloaded but am getting a new phone and don’t want to have to redownload everything

Good question.. I have the no clue at all, I checked backups from Google in hopes it would restore downloaded songs. But from the looks of it.. it only includes contacts, messages and photos.

Well that sucks, what is the difference between download and add to library option? I always just select download

I believe that added to library means it needs data, downloaded does not.

I could be wrong. I use the YouTube app, not YouTube Music.

If I add to library on the old phone which is an iPhone will it show up on my new Pixel? From there I could select download

I use YouTube music and yes, I've had to re-download all of my downloaded music when I change phones.

It doesn't bother me much though as this only happens once a year.

Be sure to download the best quality version too.

One plays on an unconnected device and the other streams.
Downloaded files are on your device unless you don't connect to the internet for over a month, then they dissappear.
