Every new video i choose it goes back down to 480p. Is there anyway to fix this so it stays on what i choose ?

On my PC or Android i choose 720p or 1080p and it stays there until i restart my laptop.

Thanks.

Generally what I notice on my iPad is things will start off at 480p and will increase to 1080p after watching for a bit. How long seems to vary.

Not sure how to permanently lock it to high quality though.

It works on the basis of adaptive bit rate, which means depending on the bandwidth available, the app switches the quality of streams. Generally it always starts from lower quality streams to avoid longer buffering time and then adjusts depending on the speed of the network.

Ahh ok. I guess i’ve never waiting long enough for it to change ion its own. Thanks.

I thought this was a change YouTube made from the pandemic to ease the stress on the networks?

TC are you in Europe?

That is easy look up Cercube.

No jailbreak required.

Nah i seen forums talking about it going back years. Plus on a PC or Android it doesn’t do that.

It is a jailbreak tweak installed on a non jailbroken phone. Thankfully it is possible.
