YouTube on atv2

hi guys

Do you also have problem searching and viewing subscriptions/favorites on youtube app on atv2?

Atv2 is connected to the internet, and i can view youtube videos from the start page, but searching is not possible - the status circle just goes around and nothing happens.

I have recently experienced this often, where subscriptions/favorites just dissapear for days on atv2, and after a few days come back - is this a problem with my atv2, or youtube or??? And is there an alternative for the youtube app on atv2? Maybe a jailbreak youtube app?

Yep, it's been down on my ATV1 since last night as well.

Yeah. Happening all over the world. Something changed between Youtube and ATV/ATV2 within the last day or so. The Apple Support Community is full of stuff like this. Apparently, they are looking into the issue with hopes it'll get resolved within the day.

I had similar problems. Entered a search string and the ATV2 just searched indefinitely and never brought up any YouTube videos.

Instead, I use the YouTube app on my iphone and airplay to my ATV2, which works fine. But of course they ought to fix it so the ATV2 plays youtube natively without the need for a second iOS device.
