Anyone else spend a lot of time on YouTube and notice YouTube buffering a hell of a lot more on Yosemite?

I mean, it's always had it's dodgy periods and buffered a lot at times but I swear it feels like it's got so much worse since installing the Yosemite PB2.

So much so that I'm considering returning to Mavericks till release. I'd like to see if anyone else has the issue first though so I can be sure it's not just YouTube misbehaving the past couple of days.

I mean, I've tried out Yosemite now and honestly won't be heartbroken to go back to Mavericks. It won't bother me much at all. I can wait for Yosemite. That being said going back and restoring Time Machine backups will be time consuming so if nobody else can confirm it's Yosemite it'll be a waste of time to go back to Mavericks and still have the same problems.

Youtube uses the HTML5 player on 10.10 by default, so that might explain the difference in your experience. You can switch the Flash player back on though, and it should be the same as Mavericks. I don't have any issues with Youtube except occasional glitches when jumping forward and backwards in a video. It seems though that these glitches have been mostly fixed in the last DP for me.

It wasn't just in Safari though. Chrome has the problem. Also, to my knowledge there's no way to turn off html5 (which should be better than flash anyway). youtube.com/html5 doesn't have the option to turn it off on Safari.

Also I was using Chrome for YouTube on Mavericks and as said it misbehaves on there now as well. Definitely not my end seeing as I'm on 100Mb fibre. :p
