Getting consistent 'An error has occurred. Please try again later. Playback ID: whatever' messages. i have no installed extensions. If i force quit Safari completely, i can play one video and then it comes back again. I am logged in with a YT Premium subscription. Is this perhaps a known issue that goes away with later dev builds?

Was just coming to see if others had reported this. Doing it with me but it’s random, some work fine, some don’t, some stop working part way through

I am experiencing this too, but I can't pin down the cause -- whether it's beta-related, Safari or on YouTube's end. Sometimes it happens in Safari, and then if I open the YT link in a private safari window, it'll play fine. Sometimes, though, it'll throw the same error there in Private. I've also seen it in Chrome once or twice, too.

Oh and yes, I have YouTube Premium too. Also, I read somewhere that YT changed how often or the video-length requirements for displaying pre-roll or mid-roll ads or something like that; perhaps there's something wonky related to that and accounts with YT Premium??

I regularly get exactly that and I am on Catalina, normal YouTube not premium. It became so frequent that I now use Brave Browser for YouTube where it never happens.

no effect, unfortunately. and yeah, don't think Premium sub had anything to do with it, sorry. thought i was having better luck without it, but i was mistaken. Seems like video playback on many Big Sur apps just is straight up broken in the current Public Beta. Would be nice to see signs of encouragement from those on the Dev Beta channel...
