If Tim was immenintly resigning (or retiring and at some point in time this will be true) it would be all over every financial publication and the front page on MacRumors, not in the back forums of an "Apple Tech" fan site.

Yeah, this would be a huge story across all types of news services! His time will come, but for some reason I don't think it is now.

While I doubt he will retire/step down anytime soon, I always wonder who is next in line in the event Tim suddenly died or had to abruptly leave due to illness.

That front page banner is really getting annoying. It seems to seek out and promote garbage threads like this one just because they have clickbait subject lines.
If it isn’t a fact or verified, edit the title of the post to have a question mark. Otherwise this is clickbait.
Nobody is read yet to take that position. He is not just a CEO. He's a very smart international diplomat.
