Looks great. I think the price is going to put it more in competition with the Leica Q as I highly doubt this will be priced under $4k.


The RX1R II has been holding it price for a very long time and is do for a price reduction if anything competes with it.

It's probably the most minimal camera I've seen. I'm not sure how well the camera will do but fair play to them for trying out some interesting new things with it.

There was another thread about this. Interesting camera in some respects. BTW, it's Lightroom CC (and not classic or Photoshop). This latter "feature" seems a bit odd and I'm not sure how useful it would be in practice. For me at least, it would not be useful at all.

But a high IQ and relatively fast 35mm lens designed for a specific full frame body in a compact form factor would work for many applications (assuming the lens/camera combo delivers--but it's hard to imagine Zeiss would jeopardize their brand with a sub-optimal product). Kudos to Zeiss for experimenting here. Time will tell.
