He might have had a chance- before they made it impossible to get one w/out a contract... sucks, I know man.
Not many people buy a phone and pay for the contract just to give it to someone else to do god knows what during the 'testing' phase.

the pwnage team is all over the 2.0 software already. i'd trust them over zibri whose program has been known to cause trouble.
if he wants one to 'hack/jb' so much as he did the last, where's the point..? he jacked the first gens' unlock&jb from the community - simply making a wrapper for it. he can go buy the 300$ phone like everyone else and stop being a lazy clown. oh, and get a real job as opposed to relying on others money. you dont see other more respected, useful people form the hackintosh comunity like the dev team asking for others to get things rollin'. (im not talking about pre-11th either, regular retail like everyone else-i know hotz has joked about if you can get hiem one pre 11, hell make good use of it

Everyone knows that it's exactly the same firmware going into the 3G Phone as the original.

I thought it wasn't the firmware that's the problem, but a possible fix from Apple concerning the bootloader (or whatever it's called) so they can't use it anymore to even add cracked or change the firmware.
well some of us want it UNLOCKED, jailbreaking just comes with it

As you should, but Zibri is not one of these people. He is a self-proclaimed 'Non-Programmer', who put together other peoples code and branded it as his own, and in the process made it so unstable that it is currently the only software for the iPhone that can permanently brick the phone.
