Can't seem to find a zip utility that is native for Apple Silicon. Use 7Zip on the PC which allows the editing archives, moving files in and out of a zip archive. Anyone aware of a native zip tool for M1 macs. I assume the command line zip is native but I need a front-end to this.

The Unarchiver is free and can unpack pretty much anything. Just unpack though, no compressing.
For compressing 7z and more, there is Keka, but I haven't used it myself as I am content with command line tools.
Keka is great for most formats.
I've had issues with The Unarchiver in the past with decompressing files on encrypted volumes unless The Unarchiver was copied to said drive first.

Another vote for Keka. I find it easy to use to create password protected archives compared to command line. For most uses, Mac’s built in tool works great.

What's wrong with the built-in Compress tool in Finder?

Right Click or Ctrl Click the folder or files and use Compress.

Beat me to it. I have found Compress to be able to handle zip needs very well.

Open Terminal, type 'zip'.
He clearly stated that he wanted a graphical app, not a command line tool, and that he wanted to be able to do more than the very rudimentary built-in right-click compress tool. Compress does not make 7z archives.

He specified zip utility in title which is native in File Manager. No command line needed. Once a folder is created files can be moved in and out.
