After updating to iOS 10, I notice too many zoom effects when apps are launched and closed. I prefer the more subtle feel of iOS 9. Is there a way to turn of the zoom animation effect? Thanks!

The only thing you can really do is turn off most of animation/movement/zoom gestures by enabling the "Reduce Motion" option in accessibility settings.

It does zoom a bit too much for my liking. I liked the old zooming features a bit more...definitely more subtle.

I love it :) Also, the animation can now be interrupted. In previous versions, you could only close an app after it was fully loaded.

Then you cannot use certain features in messages anymore, e.g. invisible ink or balloons etc.

yes, I've decided i can do without those, i can't stand the zoom effect. Hopefully apple will resolve this where you don't have to choose. thanks everyone!
