Im just wondering how many iphones are going to be sold...say the first 7 days...or even how long will it take Apple to sell its first million iPhone. Will Apple tell us? I bet they will! Although, they said two quarters ago, that they were going to wait until two years of-some-sort to release the numbers for some products such as Apple TV. Do you remember that? Has the Zune reach a million yet? It seem like I read somewhere that MS sold a million Zunes somewhere in late May. Of course if you listen to to Ballmer, he will try to make you think they have sold 5 million already. Can anyone find that information on a financial sheet released from MS?

they only sold one million cause Ballmer's mom bought so many. Yeah Apple will probably sell about 100 million iPhone's on the first day.

They have sold a million zunes and the 2 year period you are talking about i believe is the time they will be counting the profit from devices such as the appleTV and the iPhone. I believe this was to circumvent the problems of the wireless N upgrade fee we had to pay recently. Apple will indeed tell us when a million is sold, especially if it is in a shorter time period than the zune.

actually they haven't sold one million zunes (yet), the announcement in may was they were on track to have sold a million by the end of june. well today's the last day for PR releases in june and i haven't heard a peep from microsoft since then which i can only interpret as either:

avoiding announcing such a platry number in the face of a device that will likely sell a million units in its first quarter.

failure to sell one million zunes.

either way it appears that the zune will not follow in xbox's footsteps. i did notice last weekend zunes for as little as $150 at best buy. guess they're trying desperately to make that target sales number, by taking an even bigger loss on each unit.

I can only think of ONE Zune that I've seen out in the wild. Too many iPods to count.

I have seen at least a dozen.(not including the two my old roomate has). My roomate who got one after his iPod was stolen then got another one for the more lets say mature material. He said it sounded better than his iPod and the screen was nicer.
