Ok. When the AirPods were first announced I had very little interest. But of course as time passes by I start thinking that it would be a good idea to get them. So I looked online and it said coming late October. No pre-order.
Have there been any leaks in the media as to the date for...
It occurred to me that Airpods have the ability to record voices wirelessly.
Recording works ok with wired EarPods.
For self video recordings, I have used separate wireless microphones for presentations. There are numerous considerations such as charging time, app compatibility and ease of...
First off I have something like 15 pairs of bluetooth headphones of different sizes and varieties, from Sony XB950BTs to 3 pairs of knock off powerbeats I found on Amazon for $10-$25, etc. But I'm really curious about the new Apple W1 chipped headphones and I'm wondering what everyone is...
The internet is going crazy and worrying that Apple's new wireless earbuds will fall out easily. Well today I did a little test to see if that was true, and this is what I did. I separated the earbuds from the cord on my old non working EarPods, then I began the actual test. I put them in my...
The technical specifications for AirPods state that audio is transmitted via AAC. If my current iTunes collection consists largely of MP3 audio ripped from CDs, does this mean I will suffer some audio quality degradation as the iPhone will have to convert from MP3>AAC? I'm not an audiophile nut...
I'm not usually a fan of headphones but there's something about the Solo 3 and those 40 hours of battery life. I'm sold on the w1 chip, however I can't decide if i should go for something smaller like the airpods. The airpods will be much smaller to move around with and also just use one...

making your wireless into wired
I won't repeat things that's already clear to everyone. Just ones that got confirmed lately
Things we know:
It will work with music with one earpiece. (mono) [confirmed by Jason Snell]
Double tap while the phone ringing to receive call. [confirmed by Jason Snell]
It will fit in your ears...
I can see the desire to charge and listen to something, granted, you'll be stuck in one spot as your power cable needs to be plugged into an outlet.
Perhaps office workers at a desk job would be the majority of people with this desire?
With that being said, who actually does this and in what...
Apple launched the new wireless headphone AirPod for iPhone 7. However, many people compalins that it is easy to lose them, especially lose one,but not both·····
So how do you think of AirPod?
So I'm really excited for these! If there is one thing I can NOT stand about listening to music, it's the damn audio cables. The airpods usher in a new era of audio enjoyment. I will absolutely be buying these once they're finally released.
The one question I can't seem to find the answer to...
I think I heard something like they will SHIP mid-October but then when would the pre-orders for them have a chance of opening up?
I don't even know why I want them but I'll definitely be keeping the receipt in a safe place, unless I lose the devices first (which is highly likely).
Did Apple mention if the AirPods were secure enough to use them as an active device?
There's similar wireless headphones touting they're able to stay in your ears very securely (KANOA).
AirPods look a little risky to wear while doing anything outdoors.
Thoughts?
One of the main arguments against the removal of the headphone jack is that wireless audio is not at a stage where it can replace wired. I said the only way they would remove it is if they improved wireless earphones in the following ways:
Remove pairing, and make them connect by touching them...
