How to delete contacts stored locally on my iPhone

iTunes 12.6.3.6 Contacts Not Syncing
Having been through the MobileMe syncing debacle, I have been unable to sync my contacts in this last version of iTunes WITH an App Store. iPhone is direct connected, but any updates to Contacts on the computer (Mac Pro) or the iPhone X won't sync between the two devices. Anyone know of a fix? -

Add store to contacts from Maps including open hours
I save stores in my contacts for directions and so that i can look up what hours that they are open.
