I've been noticing that I have had to double click on the Dock icon to switch to or show a full screen app instead of single clicking.
From what I can remember, in El Cap, I just had to click once? In Sierra, the single click just brings up the menu if there are no open windows for that...

This is nothing new, but maybe some of you haven't seen it before.
1. Launch the Terminal app from the /Applications/Utilities folder.
2. Type the following in the Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.dock mineffect suck; killall Dock
3. Hit your "return" key.
4. If it asks you for your...
As I mentioned earlier, yesterday I abandoned Sierra and dropped back down to El Capitan, where I will remain until this old machine kicks the bucket.
While I posted this message in the El Capitan section, I wanted to post it here as well, in the hope that some very smart person will help me to...
As I mentioned in the macOS Sierra section, after encountering a number of different problems with using Sierra on my unsupported iMac, yesterday I dropped back down to El Capitan, where I will remain until this old machine kicks the bucket.
There is one thing which I would like to...
Hello,
I recently installed MacOS Sierra on a MacBook Pro that I have restored for my fiance (previously a friend's, was extremely water-damaged and corroded , running good as new now) and everything is running great.
However, anytime I open Google Chrome or Firefox from my dock, instead of...
Hi,
I hope this is the right forum to post this - if not, please move it! I've just recently started working with my Macbook Pro (Retina, 13", Late 2013) on an external display. As I really enjoy it, I bought a Dock from Henge Docks and a 4K Display from Samsung (U24E590D).
Unfortunately there...
Hi, using a new retina MacBook 2016 with 10.11.5/El Capitan I experience very slow boots and the dock does not show up for 5 and more minutes. Very annoying. - Any ideas how to fix this? My 2011 MBAir has no such problems and boots fairly quickly ...
I can start applications via Spotlight...
After updating to 10.11.5 on my 13" rMBP, I've encountered an issue when logging out or shutting down the computer. The dock just won't die. This isn't the only dock related issue I've had since the update either. Although the update seems to have fixed system freezes (for some people), it has...
I've always had the dock and menu bar enabled as translucent in previous OSXs. With this 10.11.5 version I cannot find the option to make my dock bar and menu bar translucent. In a google search I read that the pop-up Desktop & Screen Saver menu had an option at the bottom of the window to...
As some of you know, I'm new to the Mac world, and just bought a Macbook Pro 13.3".
Currently, I have two Samsung monitors. One is VGA\DVI, and the other HDMI\DVI.
Do you happen to use a dock of sorts? If so, something like this...
Hi everyone,
I am a complete MAC novice having just migrated after years and years of specialization in Windows.
I am looking for a way or a program (free or not) that works like Taskbar Hide in Windows., in that, with a combination of keystrokes you can hide and unhide a RUNNING application...
I've recently received a vertical docking station from Henge for my 13-inch MacBook Pro. I read the manual and followed the instructions correctly, using the "D" piece for my MagSafe 2 power cable. For some reason that is unknown to me, I've started hearing a crackling sound coming from within...

When I woke my iMac up this morning I noticed there were two docks. One was the normal one, and there was another beside it, with one app only in it - Safari. Mousing over it I saw a tooltip with the text "from Mac" or something like that. It was definitely on a separate dock area - there was...
