    Setting down external drive on my MBP causes it to sleep.

    Lately when I put down my Seagate external drive on the left side of the case next to the trackpad my Mac goes to sleep. I installed an SSD but found out it was on the right side so probably this is not what is causing it. Anyone else have this happen and fixed it?

    UPDATE: So I now have the SSD (Crucial MX300), but I can't get it to boot from / install OSX onto that drive. I open Recovery Mode, but only my standard HDD shows up as an option.     Copying from External HD (EXFAT) to MAC

    My external HD is a exfat file format, when i try and copy from that to my MAC, it says 'cannot copy file, the file already exists'. But obviously it doesnt. copy to the HD is fine but not from the HD. any suggestions or tips? thanks
