Hi which is the Fastest Most Stable macOS for Intel i9 MBP 16" in your experience?
I have kept updating in the hope things would get better but Ventura blows locked up in a kernel panic or overheat 1-3 times a day.
It's also slower than previous MacOS.
I think they optimised code for M1 & M2...

OVERVIEW
For folks who use PowerPC and even Intel Macs (prior to, say, macOS 10.15 Catalina), it’s never too soon or too late to start planning for the impending, dual Y2K-like hard limits...
Some sneaky marketing on Apple's part... This article points out that they're comparing the M2 Mac Mini to an older computer (2 generations back) and claiming it's 5x faster than this "bestselling PC." That's pretty devious. How does it compare to a current gen Intel CPU of a similar price...
Hey there, I have an intel 13" MBP (specs attacched) and since I upgraded (by doing a clean install) to macOS Ventura the Mac is really hot, it gets hot to the touch just by watching the desktop (temps readout attached), activity monitor doesn't seem to report something weird and I use as many...
Yep, that’s right. I’ve purchased my fair share of Macs for myself and my family over the last 10 years And have been very happy with every purchase. Every machine has lasted for at least 5 years, most longer than that before trading them in for newer models. And in the last 2 years I started...
Hello Apple and Mac friends.
What brand and model is the heatsink and cooler on this? It's a low profile cooler w/ rubber shock absorber to mount (what's the proper name for those rubber mounters?) the fan to the heatsink and it's for the Intel Q6600 (socket LGA775, a CPU from 2007, 15 years...
Hi guys,
Ive got (what once was) a working mac pro 4.1 flashed to 5.1 and bought a pair of used x5690s on ebay. I wanted to upgrade the stock CPUs to the x5690s on my dual cpu mac pro. Im aware that these must be delidded to avoid thermal problems, however, prior to delidding i wanted to test...
Hello everyone, I have a really weird problem on 2 Intel MacBook Pros (13" 2020 Intel Base Model and 13" 2019 Intel 4TB3 2.4GHz I5 Model), I used to run Monterey on both Macs since its release, it always worked good and way smoother than the release of Big Sur we had last Year (11.6.1 I guess)...
At present we are running a 7 year old Dell PC Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz with 16GB ram. We are thinking of updating and buying a Mini Mac 8gb. Its been a long time since we last bought a computer I just wanted to make sure the mini mac is an upgrade to what we have not...
I'm looking for a current Intel Mini model, but all used/refurb models seem to have at least Catalina installed. I depend on a 32-bit app, so would want to downgrade to Mojave. Any advice on how to do this since Mojave is now "dead"? I do currently have a 2012 i7 Mini running Mojave - could that...
Here's my story, was running Catalina on an 2013 iMac and it became really sluggish responding, couldn't force quit anything so I tried all the usual stuff (restarting, disk utility, safe mode and then it started not even finding the OS (strikethrough logo)
I tried internet recovery mode, which...
Hello I have a question about the Apple Thunderbolt 4 Cable (1.8m). I have an Intel certified Amazon thunderbolt 4 cable and I’ve noticed that I get faster transfer speeds on my external M.2 to SSD than the official Apple thunderbolt 4 cable is this because the Amazon thunderbolt 4 cable has...
My current A1286 mid 2012 15" 2.6 i7 quadcore 16 GB 2TB SSD recently lost the screen function, so I am trying to replace it.
If that does not work, I was thinking to buy a used replacement macbook without spending too much money as I need a 2nd screen next to me Thunderbolt display.
My budget...

Back then, I asked the MacRumors users if i can hack a OS X Intel Tiger disc to work on an early 2009 iMac. So I would like to ask if there is a way to hack an OS X Tiger install to work on Legacy GPUs like kexts, etc. like, you know that patchers like the Catalina Patcher does graphics...

Curious - for those intel 16'MBP owners that were having external display issues in the release version of Monterey, are you still having them?
If not did 12.1 or 12.2 fix them, or did you find an alternative solution?
It's driving me mad that I still cannot use my external Dell displays when...
I think this interview on Anandtech was an interesting read but one thing in particular caught my eye:
https://www.anandtech.com/show/17233/interview-with-alex-katouzian-qualcomm-svp-talking-snapdragon-microsoft-nuvia-and-discrete-graphics
It seems that when Nuvia-based SOCs finally release...
I was thinking of the new M1 mini to replace my old 27” corei7 mid2010 iMac. I wanted it for Graphic Design work but I have no clue if the grafx card it uses will satisfy my needs.
Should I prefer the M1 or the intelMini?
Might there be more chips for the Mini in the near future?
I was playing around with OpenVPN on Windows XP on the Mac mini and I got the last version for XP working with my VPN provider by editing the .ovpn file to remove some settings it did not support. I want to see if i can do the same on Tiger, so I tried to download the last Tiger release and...
