Hi all,
I have a received a $600 Apple gift card for my birthday to purchase a new iPad and I really cannot decide whether to get the regular iPad, or opt out for the iPad Air.
My main usage is quite basic: web browsing and Youtube/Netflix binging. I am not a gamer and do not use apps such as...
Hello!
Can an m1 ipad support a 120hz or 144hz monitor. For example, 1440 x 2560 at 144hz?
What I’ve found is:
People claim there is no software lock limiting it to 60hz
People still can’t get it to work
My theory is that we would need a Thunderbolt compatible monitor to enable this! The...
Hi,
Anyone else having this issue? Seems like it has been happening since the latest Ipad OS update.
Essentially, my auto-lock will not engage. So, if I put the ipad down and don't hit the lock screen button, the screen will stay on and the battery will drain to 0.
So far I have tried...
Hi Guys,
I noticed a small “smudge” on my m1 iPad Pro 12.9 screen. I tried to remove with glass cleaner cloth and it helped but its still there if i touch this area with my finger.
I think, it looks like that the oleophobic layer wears off …
I attach some pictures to this thread.
Is anyone...
Hello, does anyone know if cmd + tab on the new iPadOS 16 shows all the open apps like MacOS does or just a few like previous versions of iPadOS? I really hope Apple fixes this.
I was just watching YouTube when all of a sudden the touchscreen became completely unresponsive. It's been like this for over 10 hours now. It still played the video I was watching, with sound, and it still can rotate, the on/off buttons and volume buttons still work, but the touch screen is...
Hi,
Both my wife and I have an iPad. We have just had our broadband upgraded to full-fibre and I am able to get full speed on my iPad, but my wife can only get 50mbps. Have tried rebooting and turning wifi on/off with no result.
Can anyone help?
Regards
Ant
So, here it is! ⤵
The app is called "Solves". It's almost unknown so use the link 🔗. I'm making it in my spare time being a mobile apps developer. Hope someone would check it out and give here some feedback 🙂.
Features: long editable expressions, history, multitasking, support for hardware...
with iPad OS 16 the iPad gained the Fitness app so can it now support an Apple Watch?
I am currently on an android phone, an iPad Air 4 and a 2021 16" MBP.
I barely use my smartphone for anything smart, so I just can't justify spending iPad money on a phone I won't use.
traditionally this meant...
Hi all,
Long time forum follower but first time poster.
I’m checking to see if any other members have had success in using an Ultrawide monitor with the new iPad external display support?
I’m using an M1 11” iPad with iPadOS 16 B1 and Stage Manager enabled, connected to an Apple Magic...
For years, it’s been rumoured and people have been asking for pro apps (myself included) for the iPad. A report from Mark Gurman stated Apple is giving the iPad proper multitasking (finally!) but I haven’t heard anything about the pro apps themselves. I’m talking about Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro...
I use an AppleTV and stereo Homepods for listening to music. I don’t need a TV screen on all the time for this and prefer to turn the TV off. I am not particularly impressed with Homepod Siri selecting music and so currently must turn the TV back on to select my music.
It would be much better if...
Mark Gurman recently released a report claiming that Apple is working on fixing many of the shortcomings of the iPad, but I’m worried it’ll be limited to M1 iPads. I have the 2020 12.9” iPad Pro. If the report ends up being true but the M1 iPads are the only ones to get it, should I wait for a...
I like the idea of an Apple Pencil 2. But not enough to pay £120. I'm no artist and it'd just be helping me out in things like text editing or browsing.
So, UK users – two questions, I guess:
Is there a cheap(er) place to get one?
I'm in no rush, so is there something to wait for, like a sale...
(I know there's a wiki thread about desktop-replacement-iPad but it was started almost a decade ago.)
What apps do you find invaluable if using the iPad as your everyday computer?
I'll start by mentioning Jump Desktop, which lets me remote-desktop into my Mac.
There's obviously Microsoft and...
Hey everyone!,
Hope you are all well.
I've seen a lot of threads recently debating the usefulness of iPad and whether Mac OS should just be put onto the device. A lot of the discussion was making me feel quite negative about the iPad so I stepped away to regain appreciation for the device I...
Is there bluetooth keyboard with dedicated function keys that double as a case, like the Apple magic keyboard for the iPad Pro 12.9? The reason I need dedicated function keys is I am using a remote desktop app (Shadow Tech) and I need the function keys to work with Microsoft Office.
I don’t...
Hello all! I started using Sidecar solution and I noticed lots of bugs, hence I decided to open this thread to see your opinions and possible workarounds.
I am using a MBP 14" 2021 M1 Pro, and this week I also purchased an iPad 9.
There is already an external monitor connected to my MBP via a...
Good evening everyone!,
I hope you are staying safe and well.
I have created a YouTube video and transcript about how you can use your iPad as a second monitor for your Mac using Sidecar. Admittedly, I'm feeling a little discouraged with the video and debating whether I'll be continuing my...
