I reset my IPad Air and reconnected my bluetooth keyboard to it. When I hit spacebar it returns to the start of the line instead of what the space bar normally does. Now with this problem, the keyboard is impossible to use and I now only use it as a stand. Any ideas on what I could try?
Hello everyone,
Please I need help. My macbook pro keyboard has stopped working. It started out by freezing on every login. Then it would freeze during usage and typing rapidly on it would get it working again. AFter I upgrade to os x 10.14.4 it stopped freezing for a day then started again...
Hi.
THis is a question about Siri Shortcuts (MacRumors Admins, there should be a Shortcuts subforum, it's amazing when you start sharing shortcuts among the community), but because it involves the use of a Smart keyboard, I posted it on the iPad subforum.
My question is: Is there a way to...
SOLUTION: The media keys IN iTunes are for some odd reason (or maybe a bug) internet bound. No internet means they don't work in iTunes but just fine for every other Media Player etc. I will contact Apple and ask if I have the time in the near future. If something substantial is said I will...
I got the new Magic Keyboard (with numerical pad) with my iMac 2019 and I can't seem to get used to it because of the new key spacing and sizing.
The F-keys are the same size as the other keys and the spacing between the enter and delete key is almost identical to the other keys so I don't...
(Yeah i know its not a macbook but i couldn't find a forum for powerbooks)
I have been converting a PowerBook 145 into an iPad Pro case. So far so good with the project but I had decided it needed something. I working keyboard. My friend told be if I were to figure out how the keyboard worked...
As a writer, I often have my iPad in the portrait orientation.
My iPad Air 2 with the Belkin Qode Ultimate Keyboard is such a sweet set-up for that.
Now, I love the appearance of the new iPad Pro and want to upgrade.
However, I can't seem to find a decent external keyboard that will hold the...
I've been thinking that Apple needs a ruggedized version of its MacBooks. A line made for more extreme uses. Military grade specs. There are industries and sectors that Apple doesn't do well in because not only are they expensive, the MacBooks aren't as durable. Right now if you drop your...
Hi all!
I have a question. I've bought my first ever Macbook in January. Everything been doing great, but today I saw keyboard marks on the screen. It is a laptop for work, so I'm not carrying it around much. Why did this happen? Is this factory defect?
It's a very expensive machine and I care...
Hi -
Is there a way to copy custom keyboard shortcuts in macOS to another Mac? I have quite a few I've built and I'd love to copy them easily, but all I can find is that these shortcuts live in the .plist files (some are system, others are in the application's .plist file).
Thanks in advance...
Just got this laptop 2 days ago.. my first Mac and noticed there is a defect in the backlighting of the spacebar.. the silicone membrane is making the light bleed unevenly. It's noticeable and now my OCD won't let me stop seeing it. Looks like shoddy craftsmanship and the reason I bought this...
using a Samsung 1080 TV as my monitor and a foldable bluetooth keyboard. surprisingly I love the keyboard and have no plans on upgrading to a larger one! its compact and the key travel is pretty satisfying compared to the newer chicklet style keys.
connected to surround sound as well so I am...
I’ve got a K480 that is great for typing on my iPad at home, while also quickly switching between my Apple TV or phone. The problem is the divot for holding the iPad doesn’t really fit the 11” iPad Pro and the iPad easily falls out.
Anyone else know of an alternative that will hold the iPad...
5 months after the top case replacement the backspace started getting stuck. After hitting hard a few times it gets working again. Is there any chance of it getting fixed by itself? Or is it doomed to completely fail?
I'm looking for an external keyboard - the more of the following, the better:
1) RGB - the more robust the better
2) Wireless
3) USB-C
4) Compact size (don't need num pad either)
Either a super cheap RGB external keyboard, OR, I'd be willing to a pay bit more for a cheaper mechanical one...

Hello,
I’m a college student and I’m trying to decide with MacBook Air to get. I’m not interested in the pros.
My biggest concern is reliability. I want something that will be with me for at least 4 years. So my issue is the 2018 mba keyboard-I don’t want to be dealing with keyboard issues but...
I'm well overdue for a new laptop, but sheez, with the recent MacBook Pro keyboards and displays that both seem likely to fail and are ridiculously expensive to have repaired out of warrantee, I'm afraid to buy any recent model.
A comparable Dell XPS 15, say, with what seems like an even better...
Hey MacRumors Peeps!
I've been searching for someone who's had a similar issue on the internet, and I'm not finding much. Probably because of so many other keyboard issues with these MBP's.
Anyway, mine seems to be different. I booted up my 2016 15" MBP w/ TB yesterday morning to find that the...
I have just begun to learn to use mouse keys to do certain things and wish to be bound to only MacOS' default mouse keys (No use of third-party programs).
Looking at the interfaces it looks like the usage about the same as Windows' mouse keys operation, but on Windows, there is an option to...
