A quick question I have about Metal being functional after upgrading to a Polaris gpu in my case rx560. Does metal just enable as soon as you boot with the new gpu, or is there something you need to do to enable metal on a cMP after upgrading. Those questions only apply if metal even does work... -

MAC PRO 2010 BOOTCAMP MAJOR ISSUE PLEASE HELP
UPDATE: Apparently the GeForce 1050 Ti 4GB doesn't allow you to see the screen during boot which doesn't allow you to input key commands for recovery mode or boot select. Mac Pro HS install black screen
Hi Guys, Decided to take the plunge and install HS. The mac pro is a 4,1 with a firmware update to 5,1. To upgrade to HS I had to perform a firmware update which failed 5-6 times would just boot up as usual and give me the same screen. SSD weirdness in a mid-2010 5,1 Mac Pro running Sierra (10.12.6)
I bought a Western Digital 1 TB SSD (WD Blue) to speed my Mac Pro up. Curiously enough, if I put it into one of the HD bays the SSD does not show up in Disk Util - it's as if the drive bay is empty.
