Hello
Basically what the title says.
I am looking at a picture in Library > All Photos and trying to find a way to know which albums it has been saved in. Is this possible without looking through each album individually? This would be very cumbersome.
I am using Apple Photos in macOS Sonoma...
Hi all
I just downloaded/saved a whole bunch of photos that were sent via Messages over the past couple of years. After saving them to Photos, they all show the date when they were downloaded, not the date when they were taken.
Is there any way to order them by the date they were taken?
Instead of storing all my media solely on iCloud, I regularly move my iPhone photos and videos to the Photos app on my Mac. If I have optimized storage activated, which replaces full-resolution media with smaller versions, I wonder if the transfer retrieves the originals from iCloud or the...
I realize I may be looking for something that doesn't exist, but figured I'd check in with y'all and see if anyone has stumbled across this...
I have a TON of clip art/stock photos that I bought a number of years ago. Like, 100 GB worth.
I would love to find an app that would ingest all of...
Hi all, I've purchased a second hand 2020 M1 Air for a roadtrip.
Its the base model with only 256gb of storage.
I had hoped to reduce my photos library footprint by ticking the 'Optimise Mac Storage' option, in photos/settings, rather than 'Download originals the this Mac'
My 80gb photos...
Apple Live Photos are a pair of a still image (.JPEG or .HEIC) and a video file (.MOV). Non-Apple phones can generate these same types of images but when importing to Photos, they won't be associated together as a Live Photo pair and will be imported as separate images. Live Photos have a...
Hey guys, what I want to do is to merge two sets of photos on two different phones with two different iCloud accounts, keeping all the albums, favourites and edits. After googling, this is the solution I've found. Would appreciate it if someone can confirm this.
iPhone A is the target phone I...
My wife and I both have our own iCloud accounts, though part of a family account. She has her own Photos and I have my own Photos. Is there any way to see/view/edit them on the same computer?
In other words, can I have two iCloud photo libraries that I can view and work with on the same computer?
Mine and my partner's Photos libraries are each around 350GB in size. Because I am downgrading my iCloud storage, I want to export all the downloaded originals from Photos to an external drive. ('Download Originals to this Mac' is selected in Photos settings). The library files are already...
I’ve got an old external hard drive containing photos from my 2010 android phone and my 2013 Samsung phone. The photos are contained in ten different directories and there are duplicates.
I know that Photos for a Mac has a feature that helps identify and delete duplicate photos. However...
Have any of you guys had this problem? I have 22,199 photos on my phone.. but icloud shows there are only 22,177.. so there’s a missing 22 more photos..
I’ve tried constantly hitting sync under settings/icloud/photos but so far that hasn’t worked. Just recently signed up to a bigger plan btw...
I just bought a 2TB SSD to move both mine and my partner's Photos libraries to. I will choose the 'Download Originals' option within both libraries, as I eventually want to stop using iCloud to store our photos and move to either Carbon Copy Cloner or Time Machine to back up the originals. Each...
So suppose I get a new iPhone 15 right before I go abroad on holiday for a few weeks.
My old iPhone that I've used for everything over the years is a 2016 SE, and I take it with me, using it for everything I've always used it for.
I'd prefer to transfer everything on that SE to my brand new...
This is for anyone that backs up their iOS/iPadOS devices (especially large capacity ones), to their Mac instead of iCloud backups...
So, I have an M2 Mac mini with the 512 GB SSD and I've been trying to move my users folder because I have like 36 GB left, so, having trouble doing that I did...
I have seen throughout the years that my early photos have started disappearing and it has gotten to such a point that I know I had a photo of something, but I look back and it’s gone (I also see blacked-out corrupted photos) but not only is it gone, other photos are obviously gone. The idea...
What im trying to do is kinda complicated.
There is an iPad, a MacbookPro and a Photos Library file.
I want to transfer, in the photo library file, a few photos from iPad.
That Photos library, opens flawlessly in Photos (by pressing the Option key, when Photos launches). In that library, i wish...
I'm seeing an issue on my iPhone and iPad. All my photos taken at my house show "Home" at the top. Since installing iOS 17.3 any time I tap the "I" to view info on a photo, the title changes from "Home" to the name of my town. This change is permanent with no way to change it back.
I don't...
Okay, I'm trying to figure out what to do. I'm a dad with a full Apple Family (my wife and 4 kids).
I got my children iCloud accounts because I like the privacy of Apple Mail (no ads, and google not snooping on them from their youth).
The problem is iCloud mail stops working when I each of...
My Mac's Photo app has stopped detecting new photos my iPhone has synced to iCloud.
It had been fine for a few years reliably downloading them and now has stopped. I scrolled back through a few months of previous photos and there were a few that hadn't downloaded for some reason (i.e. just a...
Last night I was going through the Messages app on my iPhone, iPad and Macbook Air (M1) and found that even though iCloud syncing was enabled, there were several threads that showed up on some devices, but not others. I determined these were threads I had deleted, but somehow the delete didn’t...
