Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a new charger for my iPad Air 3.
From the official documentation it seems that the max wattage for it is 18W (it has PD fast charging).
But I came across this experiment here...
Intermittent Problems:
On Boot ups, sometimes only one monitor will power up. Sometimes neither monitor will power up. Sometimes power to the USB ports will work, sometimes not.

I have a portable external hard drive that I want to use with my iPad Pro, but it drains the iPad battery. Will the following adapter allow me to browse the hard drive and keep the iPad powered at the same time?

Hey, so this may be a bit of a weird one, but help is appreciated.
I just got my iPhone 12 mini, and I want to mount it to the dashboard of my car so it’s kept safe whilst driving. However, I don’t want to buy a proper MagSafe cable as I can’t use it in my car (CarPlay requires a wired...
I recently acquired a mid-2012 MacBook Pro that works great but is very difficult to power on. It powers on by itself if I disconnect battery and AC then plug in AC (battery optional). Power button will not power it on OR off (can't even reset SMC), no luck with shorting power pads either. I...
I was using my 2007 Macbook and I (foolishly) tried inserting a random 12V/3AMP AC adaptor into a cheap USB Hub I have whilst it was plugged into my macbook and then my macbook immediately shut off and hasn't booted back up.
I've tried removing battery and resetting the SMC, the magsafe...
Hiya folks.
Well, my workstation was having issues. I had another Mac Pro (4 core) that I'm working on now. But my 8-core needed some work. I had two GeForce cards in there, SSD, 4 other drives, PCI SSD, USB3 PCI card...24 GB RAM. It was shutting down, so I thought the power supply couldn't...
I love everything about Apple but their battery life is shockingly bad. Are the batteries much smaller than equivalent Android phones? Or is this more a software issue?
When I had an iPhone 4 it would last up to 4 days! My iPhone XS needs charging daily...
SOLVED via 'Pisla's Mod"
It doesn't appear as difficult as it looked at first glance:
It consists of using simple taps on 8 long wires, which are routed from the DVD area through the HDD shelf, to the GPU. I'll post any extra details or pictures after I do it ... as I'm sure I"ll find areas...
Wondering if anyone can help me out here to gather some information.
I have a 2012 Mac Pro (5,1). Have an idea regarding the power supply etc.
Do not particularly want to disassemble my Mac Pro at this point if I can avoid (main and only machine currently) to get to the info so hoping someone...
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on something I've been trying to accomplish.
I have a 16" MacBook Pro and the LG UltraFine 5K monitor which only allows Thunderbolt 3 for it to work with the Mac. This is fine, though the Mac needs 96 Watts and the monitor over Thunderbolt 3 only...
According to this : - Apparently for heat and CPU reasons you should always try to plus the RIGHT side into power, not left.
1. Is this true ?
2. which one is right side ? Sitting while facing the laptop or the other way ?
I got a PowerBook g4 high rez recently with OSX Tiger 10.4.11 after using it for a while I wanted to update to OSX Leopard but I don't have a DVD and don't have a DVD to burn it to, so I thought I would make a bootable USB. I made it with disk utility on OSX Snow Leopard and then followed this...
So my old 11-inch old MacBook Air (from 2012) has a problem: I can't power it up at all when I open the lid: nothing on the keyboard and black screen. I have tried all the keypad recovery combinations and nothing works. It's dead.
HOWEVER, the moment I shut the lid it powers up! Fan goes on and...
Hi,
I have a problem with my Mac Pro 5.1 and I though maybe one of you could help me resolve the issue. I'll try to give as much detail as I can on what is going on.
First, I the problem occurred when the tip of a lightning connector (connected on one of the front USB ports) accidentally...
Hi y’all
My Mac Pro 4.1 dual CPU was a swap for my XBox One S. It was purchased direct from Apple UK by my friend who did the swap. He has had it in his photography studio, and it has done light work over it’s life.
Anyways; first thing I had to do was put a boot disk in it and re-install...
I have a heavily upgraded MP 5,1 (12-Core 3.46Ghz with 64GB of 1333mhz RAM, a PCIe SSD Boot Drive, and all 4 Sata Bays populated with large hard drives) with a flashed NVidia GTX 780 (6GB) video card using display port to drive an ultra-wide LG monitor.
This system has been running fine for...
I have an iMac Late 2012, I was just browsing the net and suddenly I hear a shock near the power outlet and all the lights in the house went off. It tripped a MCB on the inverter. I reversed it and lights came back. I connect the iMac to an APC UPS and I just saw the error it was displaying. The...
I share this information with you because I saw it coming up in several Threads if the 16" MBP connected to an eGPU does (and if how much) run quiter compared to having the monitor connected to the internal dGPU.
And it does. Obviously. Quite a bit, in my personal use case - Webdevelopment (CPU...
