Awful video quality since upgrading to macOS Sierra

Hello, guys! I've noticed that playing Youtube videos in HD looks really bad after upgrading to the latest macOS software. I'm running it on a 13' Macbook air (mid 2013). How can i fix that? I'm attaching a screenshot from a video which is supposed to be playing in 1080p.

Hi, I`m on rMBP 2015, rocking magic keyboard/trackpad2. After wakeup, my bluetooth trackpad forcetouch doesnt work. Turning trackpad on/off seem to do the trick. This behaviour appeared after update to Sierra. Does anyone else has the same issue? Cheers

Apple does not support macOS Sierra on Mac Pro 3,1 but runs in Parallels

I find it interesting that Apple does not support macOS Sierra on our old Mac Pro 3,1 and yet the virtual machines running El Capitan inside of it in Parallels can be upgraded to Sierra seemingly with no problem. Seems not too intuitive the lack of support.

OS X automount, Samba and invisible folder

I have been using the well-documented method of having OS X automount Samba shares for a long time. Recently I noticed that my Crashplan hasn't done a backup in a long time. Investigating this, Crashplan seems to think "smbshares > CRASHPLAN > 726881078389057120" is not available. I look under...

My 2015 iMac wakes up by itself with Sierra (logs inside)

Hi, Since the sierra update my iMac suddenly turns on the screen about every hour....after 1 minute the screen goes off again but the iMac stays on for another 15 minute (my normal sleep time) but I can't understand what is the cause of the wake up. From the logs seem to be the "hidd" process...

Open Photos to see your photos

Is Apple ever going to fix this absurd problem? I was hoping that this issue would be fixed with Sierra and a Photos update. I've sent a lot of feedback to Apple about it. But evidently, usability is no longer a priority. For those unfamiliar with it: try to access your Photos library from...

MacOS Sierra: Belkin Thunderbolt express dock F4U055cwAPL connected with Thunderbolt cable to MacbookPro 15 Late 2013: Siri does not work. There is no recognizing Audio from Siri. Apple Watch Auto Unlock Questions [MERGED]

Can anybody confirm if Auto Unlock does or does not work on the Mid 2012 rMBP? I've seen that it doesn't work on a Late 2012 Mac mini, but the rMBP was a bit ahead of its time in connectivity and I imagine Apple isn't dotting the i and crossing the t on the beta docs. Figure if there is one...

    Arabesque screen saver stutters

On Sierra, has anyone noticed Apple seems to have changed the Arabesque screen saver? It now stutters on my late 2011 maxed out 15" MacBook Pro with discreet video card. On my 2012 MacBook Air with integrated video it causes glitches that look like static in areas. It worked great under El...

Possible upgrade issues 3rd party ssd

After buying my macbook pro retina (13-inch, late 2012), it was only about a year before I realised that the installed 128GB wasn't nearly enough. Therefore, being fortunate enough to have one of the last macbooks in which this is possible, I upgraded the SSD to a transcend model, boosting my...

Late 2008 Mac and life without the latest OS

I have a late 2008 Mac. It's obviously not supported by Sierra. It's probably conclusive proof that I need to (finally) buy a new Mac, but until I do what will be the short term impact of continuing to use El Capitan? Is it just missing out on the shiny new Sierra 'features' or will I soon start...

Problem with automatic tabs in Sierra

I'm having an issue with the tabs feature in Sierra - I use VMware Fusion to run a Windows VM at work, and sometimes I like to use both of my displays for the VM in full screen if I'm hunkering down in the Windows environment. So I turn on the option in VMware to use all displays in full screen...

    I think iTunes looks horrible

I just want to share my personal opinion here because I'm not seeing anyone being upset about this yet, which I find strange. Sierra looks great all around, and then I go to iTunes and... what the hell happened? Did someone accidentally swap it out for the Windows 8 version of the app? Or the...

Hey all, I'm having issues with the macrumors site and push notifications as of doing a clean install of macOS Sierra. From what I can tell it's this site specifically, as I was able to go to 9to5mac.com, and apple insider.com, and even gmail and get asked if I want to receive push...

Desktop iCloud storage just messed all my files

Can anyobody explain me how the heck Desktop iCloud storage works? I think I've messed all my documents without even knowing how. And thanks to iCloud. Since the beginning, I've known that coming from Apple, it would probably try to manage my files without letting me choose, and that it would...
