Upgrade to iPhone 7 or wait for iPhone 7s/8

I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and its acting up. I intend on switching over to iOS. Would it be better to upgrade to iPhone 7 plus now or wait till september/October when the iPhone 7s plus/8 launches? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Mac Pro 5,1 (mid 2010) - SSD Upgrade?

Like the title says, I have a mid-2010 MacPro 5,1. I recently added more ram (now at 52) and replaced all the hard drives a little over a year ago. It's a great machine, but I do feel like maybe there's a little room for speed improvement. I'm a professional photographer and mostly use...

Mac Pro 2006 (1,1) GTX 750 TI - Please Help

Hi there, So, after research I made an investment in the GTX 750 ti in order to breath the last bit of life into my Mac Pro 1,1. The machine already has upgraded processors, 14GB or RAM and SSD disk for the OS, but this card was about giving it one last chance before it's too late. However, it...

Worth it to upgrade GPU on 2010 Mac Pro while waiting for the new one?

Not trying to get too far ahead of myself here, but it does seem quite likely that I will get either the next Mac Pro or possibly an iMac Pro to replace my current mid 2010 Mac Pro. I really don't know much about GPUs, but I heard that NVIDIA now supports Macs and I wonder if it would be worth...

    Cheaper iCloud Storage in Autumn?

In 2014 Apple updated their old outdated storage plans. In 2015 they updated them again. In 2016 they added a higher storage tier. Here is the breakdown: 2011: Apple introduces iCloud storage tiers. iCloud has a slow start and there isn't much need for a lot of storage space. 2014: 5GB...

Mac Mini G4 RAM upgrade issue

Recently, I bought a 1 GB standard DDR ram stick for my old Mac mini G4, looking to re-purpose it. Everything seemed to be going fine when I began to install it, until I restarted the mac to find that only half of it (512 MB) is working. I found this very strange, considering the previous RAM...

    2011 vs 2015+ MBP

Greetings! Recently (like in the last month), I got my 2011 MBP repaired on Apple's dime for the video issue. New motherboard and out the door. The authorized service center guy was amazing, but yet he stated that it maybe about time to look for a new laptop. Now keep in mind he wasn't...

    Upgrade now or wait?

Hi everyone, I have an iPhone 6S 64Gb and lately I've become relatively obsessed with the 7+; having a larger screen and the dual camera seem amazing (I use it recently at an Apple Store and fell in love with it) Waiting 6-7 months for the 7S version seems too far away, but might be the...

    From 2008 MacPro3,1 to 13" rMBP Touchbar?

Hi There, I'm currently debating on making this move. I bought my MacPro3,1 when it came out in 2008. (2xQuad xeon 2,8Ghz) I since then installed an SSD of course, as well as 10Go of ram and a new video card to handle the 27" Cinema Display. I knock on wood, but I've never had any issue with...

Upgrade Snow Leopard to latest macOS version, but keep Windows XP in Boot Camp?

I may be asking for an impossible solution, and feel free to let me know whether that's the case. Here's my situation (skip to TL: DR if it's too long): My trusty iMac (Mid 2010, iMac11,2) is still running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. It's always been quite stable, and I have Windows XP Professional...

    Notes Downgrade

I've been an Apple consultant for about 20 years. Things just seem to be getting worse and worse at Apple. Case in point: After updating my iphone to ios 10, I can no longer access all the text I had written into the Notes app. Instead, I'm presented with a screen with one button: "Upgrade...
