Hello !

Spammers and Spinnstorm - can you please give now the actual status.

Do you have a working 1.1.1 unlocked and activated with not AT&T Sim Card needed ?

I still stick on 1.02 with a unlocked iPhone with the Dev Team Patch

I bought a licence for IPSF but did not use it because I do not know if 1.1.1
is working allready - nobaody answers my questions

Need advise on unlock

Hi, I just bought an Iphone. It has software v 1.0.2 on it. I want to unlock it to use with my existing mobile service. Is iphone simfree the best option (I am not computer savvy at all!)? I read on their website under a posting dated 9/28/07 that you still can't make calls from the phone unless you use the "emergency call screen". It said something to the extent that you need to activate your phone before you can use it. Does that imply signing up for the AT&T service? In short, if I use this IPSF method, will the phone work as if I singed up for the AT&T service (visual voice mail excluded...)?

Yes its working on 1.1.1 and unlocked and activated. If you've got your licence then use it to update your handset to 1.1.1.

IPSF 1.02 to 1.1.1

I have read lots of stuff about people wanting to use IPSF 1.6 to fix previous unlocks via different methods but I have not be able to find any info on how to upgrade to 1.1.1 if I have used IPSF on 1.02. The IPSF site says it can be done but none of the FAQ's or how-tos have been updated to show how to do it and they have not reply to the numerous emails I have sent them.

I currently have an unlocked 1.02 iPhone that was unlocked via IPSF and I now want to upgrade to 1.1.1, what do I have to do?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

This is a very good guide

Follow Section 1 if you have a 1.02 unlocked phone. You might even want to start at step 4 if you have activated you phone already.

Good luck

Sorry for what might seem a stupid question, my 1.02 iPhone is already activated and unlocked (SimFree) and has SSH, apptapp installer etc already installed. Does this mean I have to do this all over again (as per the instructions at url above) to upgrade to 1.1.1 ?

Couldn't I just install SimFree 1.6 now (under 1.02) run it, upgrade to 1.1.1 and then rejailbrake and activate?
