Very impressed with the progress SST has made on this theme, taking it beyond what Gavin, MacCubed, and the rest of the original team could have possibly done. I have this theme installed on every PPC Mac running Leopard and I'm glad it works properly on my iMac G4 now.

I have one question/request, however. I'd like to see LeopardPad and PPCSiri (or whatever LaunchPad and Siri will be called upon release) released as standalone downloads besides being bundled in the theme. As most of you are well aware, many people aren't fond of Sierra's or theming in general, so they likely aren't going to install this theme. However, I know at the same time that those who don't want to theme may want to have the LaunchPad and Siri on their computers, but are unable to unless they install the theme, which is similar to the standalone PPCStore download issue. I hope you will take this into consideration, but I understand if it cannot be done.

Thank you once again to SST for all he has done in this community to revitalize our aging PPC Macs with a fresh coat of paint and new tools to go along with it.

I think it would be better if we had the chance to choose whether having launchpad and siri or not. They're as awesome as the theme, but since almost any G4, even the lowest specs ones can run Leopard, many of the people using the theme on such machines would like to have the lightest performance impact possible on their systems.

Still, this will be very useful and amazing. :) What kind of features are you planning to include?
Weather (done), App Launching, MAYBE Calendar events, and the usual "Hello" stuff (pretty much done)

If you don't open them they use no computer resource x)

Time Machine is a background process. Spotlight is a background process. Dashboard is a background process when it has been opened.

Safari is an application. Address Book is an application. QuickTime is an application. iChat is an application. System Preferences is an application. iCal, GarageBand, and Mail are applications.

See where I'm going? That's the differences between background processes and applications. And typically, background processes aren't in your Applications folder. ;)

Hope I helped. :)

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to degrade you or anything. :(

He's just confirming if they're standalone applications.

If anyone here is skilled in php 7 and stuff and could help me making a simple but better working sort of AI(More like a Phrase responder xD?) in php 7 would be cool ;)
If the release estimate in this is like a few months I might be able to learn... I've learned plenty of coding languages quickly but I forgot them all cause I haven't been doing any coding lately xD. Is it hard to learn?

z970mp is right ;)
pochopsp asked if launchpad and siri would need background resources and slow down our systems. I was just asking for a clarification ;) and how you manage it to make them as responsive as if they had background API calls.
I love launchpad and it would be the only reason for me to use a modern Mac OS. It is very snappy because it is always running in the background. On slower HDDs launching an application can take its time and that wouldn't make your launchpad very effective. What I'm asking is: how fast is it in a worst case scenario?

It seems to be VERY fast in your video and I'm just curious how this is possible without a background task. How does it know when there are new apps? Does it check that on every launch or regularly in the background like spotlight?

It becomes a background process once you launch it, that's why it's fast ;)

Man you're too fast in answering :D I edited my post and before I'm done you already answered :D

To answer your second question, it scans for apps in your application at first launch,

When it's hidden it doesn't use that much resource I think

Ah okay, I thought you maybe use the spotlight database of the applications folder or a daemon scanning it if something changes. That would use quite some resources and that's why I asked ;)
