Actually my Mac uses Micron modules, pretty much the same ones you can get from Crucial.com
 
I bought the 1.83 simply it was cheaper and so far i havn't found it slow at all. While 2.0 or 2.16 might be nice they are still too expensive to justify. Perhaps when intel brings out newer chips we can upgrade for cheap. The next gen intel CPU memron is compatiable with the current MacBook Pros .... now I am off to find someone with a steady hand and a soldering iron....
